Electronic Arts (EA) has released an update to Battlefield 6 that makes changes on the game’s servers, including adjustments to weapons. Following a very successful beta test, Battlefield 6 is now available to the public and is already a top-selling game.
Okay, so *Battlefield 6* is seriously blowing up! Everyone’s talking about it, the reviews are amazing, and it looks like it’s going to be the biggest *Battlefield* launch ever. I’m not surprised it’s already number one in sales – it made over $100 million on Steam on day one! But it’s cool to see EA isn’t just sitting back; they’re still working hard to make the game even better for us players with tweaks and updates.
Battlefield 6 Backend Server Updates
An update for Battlefield 6 was recently applied behind the scenes, so players don’t need to download anything. This small update primarily adjusts the Rush game mode, increasing the ticket count from 75 to 100.
The recent update, along with the addition of Rush mode, includes changes to some weapons in *Battlefield 6*. Shotguns now have more noticeable projectile drop, making them less effective at long distances and encouraging closer-range combat. The update also reduced the speed of projectiles fired from the M2010 ESR and PSR sniper rifles – the M2010’s muzzle velocity went from 900 to 800 m/s, and the PSR’s decreased from 750 to 720 m/s.

Players generally like the recent changes, but they’re still voicing concerns about some major issues. Many are already sharing lists of features they want improved. One common complaint is about “weapon bloom” – the random spread of bullets when firing – in *Battlefield 6*. Fans are posting videos showing shots missing or not registering, even when aiming carefully. It’s worth noting that *Battlefield 2042* had a similar problem with weapon bloom, which the developers eventually fixed.
