Battlefield 6 is now available, but many players initially struggled to get in, and EA is working to fix the issues. Players who experienced problems with the EA App will receive compensation within the game.
As a huge Battlefield fan, I was so excited for Battlefield 6 to finally launch! EA’s aiming for 100 million players, which is awesome, but honestly, the launch wasn’t super smooth. A ton of us were stuck in long server queues, and some people couldn’t even get into the game because of problems with the EA App. EA’s working on fixing things now, and hopefully, they’ll get it sorted so everyone can play!
EA Issues Apology and Compensation Following Launcher Problems
When *Battlefield 6* first launched, some players had trouble accessing the game through the EA App. The app incorrectly told them they hadn’t purchased it, preventing them from playing. The issue has now been fixed, and as a thank you, affected players will receive a small gift: 12 Hardware Boosters and 12 Career Boosters, each lasting 60 minutes. These will be delivered to their in-game inbox over the weekend.
Players will be happy to hear that those affected by the recent game issues will receive a full seasonal Battle Pass. Those who already purchased the Phantom Edition of *Battlefield 6* and had access to the pass will not be overlooked – they’ll receive a free Season 2 Battle Pass. While some players are still disappointed that these problems happened in the first place, many are pleased with how quickly and seriously the developers are addressing the situation and have expressed their thanks.
Beyond the issues with the EA App and server queues, *Battlefield 6* also had some problems at launch with players not receiving the rewards they earned through pre-ordering the Phantom Edition or participating in the Open Beta. Despite these setbacks, the game had a strong start, with over 700,000 players logging in on Steam during its first day. To reach a goal of 100 million players, EA needs to keep current players satisfied and attract new ones, and they appear to be addressing the initial problems to do just that.
