Battlefield 6 Players Already Have a Major Issue With New Eastwood Map

The new map for Battlefield 6, called Eastwood, will be available in an update on November 18th. However, players have already found a major issue with it. Many are sharing their disappointment online, with some saying the map quality is so poor they might stop playing the game.

So, Battlefield 6 got its first big update on October 28th, kicking off Season 1. It’s going to be broken up into three updates total. The next one drops on November 18th and I’m hyped because it’s bringing a new map, a limited-time Sabotage mode, and a bunch of new weapons. Then, on December 9th, the final update – called Winter Offensive – is landing with a cool winter map, a special event, and even a new pickaxe you can use in melee combat. I’m really looking forward to checking it all out!

Battlefield 6 Players Point Out Major Flaw With Eastwood

So, I’ve been checking out some early looks at the new Eastwood map for Battlefield 6, and honestly, I’m a little worried. Someone on Reddit pointed out something I noticed too – the way the Conquest objectives are laid out. Four out of the five flags are super close to the HQ areas, which feels like it could lead to some really unbalanced fights. Plus, the HQs themselves seem HUGE – almost as big as the rest of the map combined! It just doesn’t feel right, and I’m hoping the developers take a look at it before launch.

Fans have complained about maps in Battlefield 6 before. Soon after the game launched, many took to social media to criticize the Blackwell Fields map, which was added in the Season 1 update on October 28th. Some called it the worst Battlefield map ever, mainly because of its straightforward layout, large open areas, and overall size. The map also seemed to have several bugs at launch, including one that caused a player to unexpectedly fly into the air.

Despite generally positive reviews from players and critics, the community is very unhappy with the maps in Battlefield 6. Battlefield games are known for their large-scale, lengthy battles – sometimes lasting up to 40 minutes – and players expect maps to match that scale. However, many feel Battlefield 6’s maps are too small and seem designed to appeal to players of Call of Duty, which focuses on faster-paced, smaller engagements.
