Players on social media spotted a blue character skin called “Wicked Grin” that will be available in Battlefield 6 with the first season update. Many believe it’s connected to a Halloween event.
This new skin is causing even more disagreement than the last one, which already sharply divided players just a couple of weeks ago. The previous skin was notable for its vibrant green color.
Before its release, EA DICE said the new Battlefield game would be realistic, but some players feel they’ve already gone back on that promise just two weeks after launch. While the game itself has been well-received by the community, fans are unhappy with certain cosmetic items that many see as over-the-top.
One Reddit user strongly criticized the new design, calling it “dumb,” while another questioned why standard military uniforms couldn’t be used, expressing frustration with the change.
Some users came to the defense of the military uniform, pointing out that the image was likely a rare example chosen from a much larger collection of standard outfits. They also expressed disappointment with the community, suggesting it’s prone to misrepresentation and negativity.
Many feel this is a much more sensible addition compared to some of the sillier outfits offered in Call of Duty, like the Beavis and Butthead or Nicki Minaj collaborations which introduced some truly unusual character looks to the game.
