Players initially experienced extremely long wait times – at one point, over 280,000 people were trying to log in at the same time! Battlefield 6 Has Long Queues After Season One and RedSec’s Release
Players are experiencing significant delays trying to log in to both Battlefield 6 and REDSEC, with some reporting wait times behind over 50,000 other users. It’s unclear when the servers will be stable, but it could take several hours to resolve the issue.
The surge in popularity of Battlefield 6 is probably because of the recent launch of Battlefield REDSEC. Announced just a day before it became available, Battlefield REDSEC is free-to-play, similar to Call of Duty: Warzone, and is likely drawing in a lot of players. The game takes place on a massive map based in Southern California, and features a dangerous, shrinking storm that damages everything in its path.
The first season of Battlefield 6 offered a lot of new content that attracted players. Called ‘Rogue Ops,’ it introduced new weapons and a large new map called Blackwell Fields. Blackwell Fields is designed for vehicle combat and large-scale battles thanks to its wide-open spaces.
Although the recent login queues for Battlefield 6 can be frustrating, they show the game is still incredibly popular. Shortly after launch, Battlefield 6 peaked at over 740,000 concurrent players on Steam and sold more than 7 million copies in just three days. This made it the fastest-selling game in the series, suggesting that Battlefield Studios will continue to develop new content to keep players interested.
