Players of Battlefield 6 on PC are running into problems when using a PlayStation 5 controller. A developer working on the game has confirmed the issue and says a solution is being developed.

While Battlefield 6 hasn’t had any major problems, players are still finding minor bugs that the developers at Battlefield Studios are expected to address in the near future. One ongoing issue, where players can ride drones high into the air, continues to disrupt gameplay and hasn’t been resolved yet.

Battlefield 6 on PC Has Problematic Deadzones With PS5 Controllers

Players using PlayStation 5 controllers on the PC version of Battlefield 6 are experiencing issues with aim control due to problems with the controller’s deadzones. This makes it hard to make small, precise adjustments when aiming. Julian Manolov, a combat developer for Battlefield 6, explained that there’s a compatibility issue between the game and Sony controllers on PC. Essentially, the controller’s deadzone is being applied before the game’s own deadzone settings can take effect, resulting in reduced control. The developers are aware of the problem and plan to release a fix in a future update.

Manolov notes that players using an Xbox controller shouldn’t experience this problem, offering a workaround for PC players who prefer not to use a mouse and keyboard. While the best way to play Battlefield 6 – with a controller or mouse and keyboard – is up to each individual, the game will soon function correctly regardless of the chosen input method.

The coming months are crucial for Battlefield 6. While the new RedSec battle royale mode and Season 1 have just launched with some mixed reactions, how players respond to the ongoing content releases will ultimately decide how successful Battlefield 6 remains in the long run.
