Okay, so Season 1 for Battlefield 6 is finally here, and there’s a lot of new stuff. We’ve got a ton of content, and the Battle Royale mode, Battlefield REDSEC, is free to play, which is awesome. But honestly, I’m a little frustrated. Some of the coolest new features seem to be locked behind the Pro Battle Pass, and a lot of us are letting EA know we’re not thrilled about having to pay extra for them. This new version, called Battlefield Pro, costs $24.99 and offers all the standard Battle Pass rewards, plus extra benefits. However, many players are unhappy with the decision to put these additional perks behind a paywall, calling it unfair and disappointing.
Battlefield 6 Players “Disappointed” With New Pro Radio Station
The first Pro Battle Pass for Battlefield 6 launched with Season 1 earlier this week, and it’s already sparking debate. A Reddit user pointed out that a new in-game radio station, BF Pro Radio, is only available to those who buy the Pro Battle Pass. While it’s just a cosmetic feature – letting players listen to different music while driving vehicles – many fans are upset about having to pay extra to access it. The post has gained over 2,500 upvotes and numerous comments criticizing the paywall.
It’s disappointing to learn that several features in Battlefield 6 are only available with the Pro Battle Pass. When Season 1 launched on October 28th, players noticed that the Pro version allows hosting 100-player servers in Portal mode. It also includes unique in-game challenges, the ability to retry challenges, and other exclusive benefits.
Fans enjoyed the new content added in Season 1, but many players are unhappy with the latest Battlefield 6 map, Blackwell Fields. Some are even calling it the worst map ever made in a Battlefield game, mainly because it feels too small and exposed, and has a few frustrating bugs.
