Players are already frustrated with the challenges in Battlefield 6, describing them as draining and overly time-consuming. The game’s developer, DICE, quickly made some changes to the progression system after launch, but fans are now actively requesting further adjustments to many of the game’s most difficult tasks.
As a huge Battlefield fan, I’m so glad to see Battlefield 6 doing so well! After the rough start with Battlefield 2042, and waiting four years for a new game, it’s amazing to see the series back on top. I was checking Steam and it hit over 747,000 players almost instantly – that’s more than even Call of Duty managed! EA announced that over 7 million copies were sold in just the first three days, which is incredible news. It’s great to see the community responding so positively, even with some complaints about how the game progresses and its difficulty.
Battlefield 6 Players Are Fed Up With “Time Consuming” Challenges
Battlefield 6 has a lot of challenges for players, offering rewards like new weapons and XP boosts. However, many players find these challenges to be overly time-consuming, repetitive, and frustrating. The community is asking DICE to rework them, with some describing them as draining and demoralizing. Specifically, players are struggling with challenges like ‘Bullet Storm,’ which requires extensive use of light machine guns to suppress enemies, and the ‘Support’ challenge, which demands a lot of healing as a Support player.
The post has gained a lot of traction, with over 3,000 upvotes and 1,000 comments, as many players strongly agree the challenges are frustrating. One player shared that they’ve been trying to finish the Support challenges in Battlefield 6 since the game launched without success. Another explained they work and have a family, so they ignore the challenges altogether and just play the game hoping to progress naturally.
DICE is responding to player feedback and making improvements to its games. Recently, they addressed concerns about challenges in Battlefield 6. Players were unhappy with receiving challenges related to the new Battlefield REDSEC mode when playing the main game. DICE fixed this by ensuring that Battlefield 6 players no longer receive *REDSECspecific challenges when re-rolling, while still allowing Battle Royale players to get those challenges. This shows DICE is willing to adjust challenges based on what players want.
