Battlefield 6 Players Have Until November 4 to Earn Free Skin

To get fans excited for the launch of the free-to-play Battlefield REDSEC, EA is offering Twitch Drops for Battlefield 6. From now until November 4th, players of both Battlefield 6 and Battlefield REDSEC can earn rewards simply by watching qualifying streams. The more you watch Battlefield REDSEC streams, the more rewards you’ll unlock, with a free character skin as the ultimate prize.

After a lot of speculation and leaked gameplay, EA has officially announced its new free-to-play Battle Royale game, Battlefield REDSEC. EA had previously confirmed the game was in development, but the name and release date were unknown. Reliable sources suggested it would launch on October 28th with Season 1 of Battlefield 6, and possibly be released suddenly, like Call of Duty: Warzone. Just a day before the update, EA revealed Battlefield REDSEC in a new teaser, confirming the rumors: it will be available on October 28th and is free to play.

Battlefield 6 Season 1 Twitch Drops Revealed

To celebrate the launch of Battlefield 6 and REDSEC Season 1, EA is offering free in-game items through Twitch Drops. From now until November 4th, watch your favorite streamers play Battlefield REDSEC to earn rewards! You’ll get different items based on how long you watch: one hour gets you the “Hitchhiking” Vehicle Decal, two hours unlocks the “Marauder” Vehicle Skin, three hours earns the “Highland Hunter” Weapons Package, and four hours gets you the “No Mercy” Soldier Skin. Make sure your EA and Twitch accounts are connected to claim your rewards.

Battlefield 6’s Season 1 is now live and promises a ton of new content for fans! Over the next couple of months, players can expect new weapons, maps, and gameplay tweaks delivered through three separate updates. The first update is available today, October 28th. Another map, Eastwood, along with more weapons and a limited-time game mode, will arrive on November 18th. Finally, the season will conclude on December 9th with a third update bringing yet another new map and even more content to enjoy.

EA and DICE are facing backlash from players over a new skin in Battlefield 6 Season 1. The “Wicked Grin” cosmetic, designed for the Assault class, quickly drew criticism for its bright blue color. Many fans have voiced their disapproval and are asking DICE to stick to more realistic skin designs, which the studio had previously promised to deliver.
