Players of Battlefield 6 are reporting significant issues with how accurately the game registers hits, with some claiming it’s completely broken. Although the game has only been out for a short time, many online multiplayer matches feel unfair due to inconsistent hit detection. While poor internet connections can sometimes be the cause, many players believe the problem lies within the game itself this time around.
Despite a few initial issues with the online multiplayer, *Battlefield 6* has launched to incredible success. In just over an hour, it surpassed *Call of Duty*’s record for the most players online at the same time on Steam, reaching over 747,000 concurrent players. While this number doesn’t include players on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S, the game is clearly performing very well and currently tops the sales charts.
Battlefield 6 Fans Say Hit Registration “Doesn’t Exist”
Since its release on October 10th, the developers of Battlefield 6 (DICE) have fixed several multiplayer issues, including a bug affecting player movement. Now, players are asking for an update on problems with the game’s hit registration – whether shots are accurately connecting with enemies. One Reddit user described the hit registration as non-existent, sharing a video clip as proof. The clip clearly shows the user firing first and hitting their target, yet they were the one who was eliminated.
The post has received over 4,000 upvotes and almost 1,000 comments, showing many players feel the same way. One player initially thought the issue was lag, but quickly realized that wasn’t it. Another pointed out that missing four out of nine shots at close range is a significant problem. Many others shared similar experiences, with some even claiming that the beta version of *Battlefield 6* felt smoother.

While the new *Battlefield* game has generally been well-received, some players are disappointed with the map sizes. This was also a concern during the game’s beta testing phase. Before launch, EA promised a good mix of maps for both close-quarters combat and large-scale battles, but many players still feel the maps aren’t right and it’s impacting their enjoyment of the game.
