A player on Reddit recently discovered that time on XP boosters in Battlefield 6 continues to decrease even when you’re not actively playing – even while you’re browsing the game’s menus. The player activated three boosters, stayed on the main menu for 40 minutes, and found they only had 10 minutes of boost time remaining, which they understandably found frustrating. Others pointed out that previous Battlefield games didn’t waste booster time in menus, leading to complaints that the developers are making unnecessary changes. This issue also mirrors how Call of Duty handles XP boosters. It’s especially problematic for players who have trouble finding matches, as waiting in queues or menus can eat away at their booster time, potentially discouraging them from trying to find specific maps.

Players have discovered a way to get extra XP in Battlefield 6. If you use an XP booster right at the end of a match, the entire match will still count as double XP, letting players unlock weapons faster. However, there’s a catch: if the booster runs out during the match, none of the XP earned up to that point will be doubled. One player called this a major issue, especially since the shortest XP boosters only last 15 minutes – sometimes not long enough to finish a whole game.
