Battlefield 6 Under Fire For Suspected AI Art in New Bundle

Players of the Battlefield series are upset about a cosmetic item in the new ‘Windchill’ bundle. Gamers noticed that a sticker within the bundle appears to have been created using flawed artificial intelligence, suggesting a problem with how it was designed.

Social media was flooded with negative reactions to the game. While some people see it as a small problem, others believe it highlights a larger, growing issue within the gaming industry.

Battlefield 6 AI Sticker Scandal Runs Wild

A Battlefield player on Reddit shared a picture of the new Windchill bundle and pointed out a strange detail: a player card sticker that appears to be poorly designed by artificial intelligence. The sticker shows a soldier inside a snowflake holding an M4A1 rifle, and it’s very likely the image was created using AI, with noticeable flaws.

This particular M4A1 has a unique design with two barrels stacked on top of each other. It also features two handguards, which isn’t something you see on most guns.

Here’s a zoomed-in shot of the player card sticker:

People immediately took to social media, pointing out this wasn’t the first time they’d seen something in Battlefield 6 that appeared to be created by AI. The reaction online was strongly negative, with one user commenting, ‘The fact this wasn’t noticed before release shows a real lack of effort.’

Another said, ‘They got your money, so they don’t care about which hill you choose to die on.’

People are expressing strong disapproval of AI-generated art. One user argued that it relies on copying existing artwork and harms the livelihoods of artists. Another user specifically criticized a company (EA) for using AI instead of paying human artists, calling the AI output undesirable.

A groundbreaking game, entirely created using artificial intelligence, has just released a demo. Initial reactions have been about what you’d expect for such a novel project.
