This visual supports earlier speculations that the game will be set in a modern-day environment.

A fresh video on the game’s official YouTube channel provides a glimpse of the upcoming gameplay, highlighting each studio’s role in shaping Battlefield’s future. DICE is responsible for multiplayer modes, while Criterion takes care of single-player campaigns. Meanwhile, Motive and Ripple Effect contribute to various other elements.

In contrast to the previous version that exclusively offered multiplayer experiences, which faced significant criticism, the upcoming Battlefield installment is returning to a single-player format. Following the challenges encountered by Battlefield 2042 in terms of gameplay and sales upon its 2021 release, Electronic Arts (EA) is emphasizing their commitment to providing grand multiplayer warfare and an immersive storyline for Battlefield 6.

This newly released video offers our initial glimpse into the progress of the game being made, featuring a compilation of pre-alpha gameplay. It strongly suggests a revival of the series’ traditional elements, favoring a contemporary backdrop over the significant change seen in 2042.

In anticipation of such lofty expectations, Electronic Arts (EA) aims to stimulate community interaction and align player aspirations. To achieve this, they have launched what is touted as their most extensive community testing program ever – Battlefield Labs, within the Battlefield series.
