Battlefield 6 Update Fixes One of the Game’s Most Notorious Glitches

An upcoming update for Battlefield 6 will fix a glitch that allowed players to ride on top of drones. Like most major game releases, Battlefield 6 launched with some bugs, and players discovered a few that were surprisingly entertaining. The developers are now addressing some of these issues, including the amusing drone-riding bug, in the newest game update.

Even though the open beta for the game was very popular and most reviews were positive, things haven’t been perfect for Battlefield Studios since the game launched. Players have reported a lot of bugs and issues with how the game plays, and the battle royale mode received overwhelmingly negative reviews when it came out, which hurt the game’s otherwise strong start. Fortunately, the developers have been quick to respond, releasing several updates – including Update 1.1.1.5 – to fix these problems.

The latest update for Battlefield 6 (version 1.1.1.5) will finally address the well-known drone glitch. Players discovered this unusual bug shortly after the game launched – it allowed them to “ride” friendly drones by hitting them with a sledgehammer. Despite being popular and remaining unfixed through several updates, the glitch actually gave players a significant advantage. Skilled players could use it to reach normally inaccessible spots, giving snipers a considerable edge, especially given the game’s smaller maps. Fortunately, the fix is coming on November 11, 2025, at 4 AM EST.

The update doesn’t just fix the recent drone issue. Battlefield Studios is also resolving a problem with the Infantry Fighting Vehicle’s missiles, which weren’t being blocked by enemy defenses. Players had been reporting this bug for nearly a month, and after disabling the weapon temporarily due to fan feedback, it looks like a permanent fix is finally here.

Man, that weapon bloom in Battlefield 6 has been driving me crazy since the beta! The devs are finally addressing it, which is awesome. They’re fixing a bug where my gun would still be all over the place even after I stopped running and started aiming down sights. Apparently, the game thought I was always sprinting! They also found a glitch where it was calculating my movement speed wrong, making my shots super inaccurate. It’s not just guns, though – they’re patching up vehicle spawns, making challenges actually progress, and smoothing things out in battle royale too. Hopefully, these fixes will make the game way more enjoyable!
