Battlefield 6 Update Overhauls Challenges and Assignments

Battlefield 6 is getting a big update to its Assignments and Challenges, making the game more user-friendly. Since its release in October, EA has been consistently improving Battlefield 6 with updates and new content, including the launch of its first season.

Despite a huge launch for Battlefield 6, many players have expressed frustration with certain aspects of the game. A key issue has been weapon bloom, and the developers at Battlefield Studios have been consistently tweaking it to improve gameplay. They’ve also recently implemented a significant update to the game’s challenges and assignments.

Battlefield 6 Overhauls the Challenge and Assignments System

The newest update to Battlefield 6 focuses on the game’s challenges, following a recent adjustment to rerolls. This update significantly simplifies Challenges and Assignments, making them easier and faster to finish.

We’ve sped up class challenges and made them easier to complete – for instance, calling in teammates from a Spawn Beacon now only requires 5 actions instead of 50. We’ve also lowered the requirements for challenges specific to each game mode, and simplified Mastery challenges to flow more naturally with how you play the game.

As a huge Battlefield fan, I’m really excited about these first changes! It’s awesome to see Battlefield Studios is already planning even more updates – both big and small – for the game. They’ve made over 90 tweaks to Challenges and Adjustments with this initial update, and honestly, it should make unlocking stuff in Battlefield 6 a lot more achievable. This feels like just the beginning, and I can’t wait to see what they do next!

More details are on the way, and Matthew Nickerson, who leads console and controller design, hinted that the next Battlefield game will change how aim assist works. The developers are working to make it feel less like the aim locks on, and also want to make the slowdown when aiming more predictable.
