Battlefield 6’s Campaign Has Less Than 10 Missions

Battlefield 6 is launching in just two weeks, and EA has shared details about its single-player campaign. The campaign will feature 9 missions, and players are expected to be able to finish it in about 4 to 6 hours. This makes it one of the shortest campaigns in the Battlefield series, similar to Battlefield 5, which some players completed in only 3 hours.

The recent *Battlefield* open beta was a big hit, creating a lot of excitement for the new game. However, the official reveal of the single-player campaign earlier this week has led to disappointment among fans. Those who’ve played early versions of the campaign have called it forgettable and poorly designed. Many viewers online have also commented that the gameplay looks unfinished and the graphics aren’t up to par.

Battlefield 6 Will Only Have 9 Campaign Missions

Fans hoping for a robust single-player experience in *Battlefield 6* may be disappointed. In addition to concerns about character behavior and graphics, it’s been revealed the campaign will be relatively short, consisting of only nine missions across three continents. According to information shared by Twitter user BFBulletin and reported by Insider Gaming, players can expect to finish the campaign in around 4-6 hours. An internet connection will also be required to play the single-player story. Insider Gaming has published a complete list of the missions.

  • Mission 1: Always Faithful
  • Mission 2: The Rock
  • Mission 3: Operation Gladius
  • Mission 4: Night Raid
  • Mission 5: No Sleep
  • Mission 6:Moving Mountains
  • Mission 7: Nile Guard
  • Mission 8: Operation Emberstrike
  • Mission 9: Always Forward

Early reactions to the campaign for the next *Battlefield* game are mostly negative, but the multiplayer side is receiving a much more positive response. After the disappointing launch of *Battlefield 2042* in 2021, players are especially interested in seeing how EA and DICE improve the series. A producer recently shared that they’re confident this new *Battlefield* will perform much better, because it’s designed to feel more like the popular *Battlefield 3* and *Battlefield 4* games.

The disappointing release of *Battlefield 2042* clearly affected the development team at DICE. Rebecka Coutaz, the studio’s General Manager and Vice President, has stated she feels a strong responsibility to make *Battlefield 6* the best game in the series, especially since she joined the team soon after *2042* launched. With the recent open beta being the most popular in *Battlefield* history – even breaking the concurrent player record previously held by *Call of Duty* on Steam – *Battlefield 6* has a real chance of becoming a classic.
