A player recently discovered a reference to the TV show Breaking Bad hidden within the newest Battlefield 6 map, Eastwood. This map, added to the game on November 18th as part of Season 1’s update, is free for all Battlefield 6 players. Eastwood transforms a peaceful Southern California neighborhood, complete with pools and golf courses, into a warzone.
Players are already expressing significant concerns about the newest map in Battlefield 6. Many are criticizing its small size and the poor placement of objectives. This isn’t the first map to receive negative feedback from the Battlefield 6 community, as long-time fans feel the game is becoming too similar to Call of Duty with its smaller maps and faster gameplay.
Battlefield 6 Player Discovers Breaking Bad Reference
Even though some players have criticized the new Eastwood map in Battlefield 6, fans are still finding fun surprises hidden within the game. Content creator DANNYonPC recently shared a Breaking Bad easter egg they discovered on the map. DICE cleverly placed a pizza on a garage roof, referencing a famous scene from Season 3, Episode 2 of Breaking Bad where Walter White angrily throws a pizza onto a roof.
Players have discovered multiple hidden references, or ‘easter eggs,’ in the newest Battlefield 6 map. In addition to one previously found, others have noticed a nod to the classic horror film The Shining. The film, starring Jack Nicholson, famously features a scene of a boy riding a tricycle through a hotel hallway. A very similar tricycle has been added to the golf course area of the Eastwood map, likely as a tribute to that iconic moment.
The newest update for Battlefield 6 launched with the start of its first season, which is divided into three content drops. The second update, called California Resistance, became available on November 18th, introducing the Eastwood map, a temporary game mode, new weapons, and a golf cart vehicle, among other additions. Players can expect the next update to arrive on December 9th with even more new content.
