Battlefield 6’s Pro Battle Pass Gives Players a Massive Portal Benefit and More

Okay, so it’s only been about three weeks since Battlefield 6 dropped, but EA and DICE are already giving us a big update! They’ve added a new Pro Battle Pass, and as someone who loves the Portal mode, I’m hyped. It’s kinda like the BlackCell Battle Pass in Call of Duty – basically, it lets you unlock a bunch of exclusive stuff and extra perks on top of the regular seasonal pass. It’s a cool way to get even more out of the game, if you’re willing to spend a little extra.

Yesterday, October 28th, marked the start of Season 1 for Battlefield 6, bringing a new map, game mode, and lots of new weapons. In addition, DICE unexpectedly released a separate free-to-play Battle Royale game called Battlefield REDSEC. While your progress in Battlefield 6 connects to REDSEC, it’s a completely separate game you can download and play for free, much like Call of Duty: Warzone.

Battlefield 6 Pro Battle Pass Allows 100 Player Portal Servers

If you’re playing Battlefield REDSEC or Battlefield 6 and want lots of new items like character skins, in-game money, and XP boosts, you’ll probably want to buy the Season 1 Battle Pass. There’s also a more expensive “Pro” version for $24.99 that offers extra perks. The biggest benefit for fans of the Portal mode is that Pro owners can create servers for up to 100 players – a feature not available to others. Players who purchased the Battlefield 6 Phantom Edition already have a Pro Token they can use to get the Season 1 Pro Pass if they want.

The Pro Battle Pass for Battlefield 6 offers several advantages. It lets players skip 25 tiers in the regular Battle Pass and immediately unlocks content. It also includes unique challenges, the ability to redo challenges, and a special, time-limited rewards track with even more items to earn throughout the season. Unlike the standard Battle Pass, you can only buy the Pro Battle Pass with real money – it’s not available for in-game currency.

As a long-time Battlefield fan, I was a little disappointed to see Battlefield 6 join the trend of having a premium Battle Pass. It’s becoming super common in games these days, and honestly, it’s a bit of a mixed bag. While it’s nice to get extra stuff if you’re willing to spend money, a lot of us are starting to get frustrated with how many microtransactions are popping up in big-budget games. I remember when Call of Duty’s BlackCell caused a stir for the same reason, and it’s not just them – Apex Legends, The Finals, and even Fortnite all have their own versions of these premium passes now.
