Battlefield REDSEC’s $1 Million Tournament Has Been Postponed With No New Date

Okay, so EA announced this huge Battlefield tournament, the REDSEC Elite Series, with a million bucks up for grabs! It seemed like it was gonna be a big deal in the battle royale scene, going up against games like Warzone. But now, the people running it just announced they’re delaying the whole thing… and they didn’t even give us a new date! Super frustrating as a player who was looking forward to it.

The team posted on social media to apologize and reassure fans that they remain committed to creating a strong and sustainable competitive Battlefield REDSEC community.

Battlefield REDSEC Elite Series Pushed Back

A technical problem has caused a delay for the Battlefield REDSEC tournament. Electronic Arts and the event organizers announced the setback in a recent social media post. The $1 million tournament will now launch at a later date.

To our Battlefield REDSEC Elite Series community,

We’ve decided to postpone the Battlefield REDSEC Elite Series worldwide. A recent technical problem affected the fairness of the competition, and while it was a tough call, it was the right thing to do. We take full responsibility for this issue.

We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience. We deeply appreciate your time, enthusiasm, and dedication to this series, and we value it greatly.

We’re still dedicated to the Battlefield REDSEC Elite Series and building a strong, long-term competitive community. We’ll have more news to share next year.

The tournament was originally scheduled for December 10th through the 18th, and the news arrived while players were getting ready for their first Battlefield REDSEC competition.

So, EA hasn’t really said why the game’s been delayed, but everyone’s guessing it’s because of a ton of technical problems. Honestly, it’s been happening a lot lately – remember all the issues with Call of Duty: Warzone? They probably don’t want the same thing to happen and ruin the whole event.

People immediately reacted to the news. One fan praised the honesty and expressed confidence that the game would still be great, writing, ‘Thanks for being upfront and taking responsibility. We’ll get through this, and it’s still going to be amazing.’ However, another player was critical, stating, ‘The recent update completely broke the game – now, it’s hard to even land hits.’

Gamers who are knowledgeable about technology have discovered a memory leak in the newest version of Battlefield REDSEC.
