Battlestate Blames Recent Tarkov Issues On Discord Overlay

As a seasoned gamer with a decade-long battle scars collection from Escape from Tarkov, I can’t help but feel a mix of frustration and resignation every time a new update rolls out. It’s like stepping into a minefield, blindfolded – you never know when the next glitch or issue is going to blow up your raid. This latest Discord overlay debacle has once again proven that Tarkov isn’t quite out of its woods yet.

Players of Escape from Tarkov have voiced concerns about a series of problems arising in the game lately. Among these issues are in-raid freezes, unexpected blackouts, and various visual anomalies that players have encountered. Battlestate Games has recently provided an explanation for these problems.

As per the developer’s statement, there seems to be an issue with the Discord overlay that may lead to clashes in the game Escape from Tarkov.

Just Don’t Use It

Battlestate Games recommends that players utilize the Voice Over Internet Protocol (VoIP) functions within Escape from Tarkov until the Discord problems get fixed. They’ve also shared that the Discord development team is actively working to resolve these issues.

More recently, Escape from Tarkov has encountered another significant challenge. Over the past few days, players have been experiencing a cross-platform malfunction between Tarkov and Tarkov Arena, causing tasks to reset. In response, Battlestate temporarily suspended the linking/synching function while they work on resolving this issue.

In most cases, high-level loot gatherers in Escape from Tarkov encounter issues when there’s a major update and server wipe. This year has been particularly challenging for the game, with problems persisting even after several updates. It appears that the game isn’t fully recovered yet.
