Battlestate Has Released Stats From Tarkov’s Last Wipe

As a seasoned gamer with over two decades under my belt, I’ve seen games come and go, but Escape from Tarkov has managed to keep me hooked for quite some time now. The latest statistics revealed by Battlestate Games are nothing short of astounding. It’s fascinating to see the global scale of our gaming community and the choices we make within the game.

Battlestate Games recently shared infographics on their social media platforms, showcasing several significant figures from the recent server reset (also known as a “wipe”), which takes place today with the arrival of the 0.16.0.0 update.

The information presented provides fascinating insights into Escape from Tarkov’s global popularity, showing us an engaging depiction of how many players are still actively engaged in the game towards the end of a server wipe. Lately, there has been debate about the game’s future vitality, as it appears that player counts have decreased noticeably across the globe.

The Numbers

Battlestate Games shared some intriguing tidbits about the latest server reset in Escape from Tarkov, which is happening on this day.

  • 62% of players opted to represent the USEC faction this wipe
  • 99,288 players maxed out their Metabolism skill, the most popular skill by far
  • 876,328 players were killed by Partisan, the boss character introduced in this wipe
  • 692,000 players accepted Mortar Strike, a special event quest that surfaced several weeks ago
  • 188,514 players accepted ‘Dark Times’ a late-wipe task that rewarded 39,000 players with ‘Kappa’

As a devoted gamer, I can confirm that my go-to weapons in Escape from Tarkov have remained unchanged over the past few months. The M4A1, a reliable workhorse in this game, has been the top pick among players. Hot on its heels is the AKS-74U, which is a fan favorite too.

The Mosin was king of the ‘bolties’, while the SVDS was the top choice for those running marksman rifles. Bizarrely, the most popular armour was the PACA Soft Armor, but that’s only because everyone uses it at the start of a new wipe.
