Bayonetta is Crossing Over with The First Descendant

Starting November 6th, players of The First Descendant will be able to experience a crossover with Bayonetta. The First Descendant, a third-person action RPG released by Nexon in June 2024 for PC and consoles, puts players in control of powerful humans tasked with safeguarding humanity.

In *The First Descendant*, up to four players take on the roles of powerful characters called Descendants, tasked with safeguarding the world of Albion and the continent of Ingris. They must defend against the Vulgus, alien invaders who brought destruction 100 years ago. Players will utilize unique abilities, along with a wide range of weapons and accessories, to complete missions and fight back against this threat. *The First Descendant* is a fast-paced action game focused on protecting humanity, and a familiar face will soon be joining the fight.

Bayonetta is Coming to The First Descendant as a Skin

At Tokyo Game Show 2025, The First Descendant revealed a collaboration with Bayonetta, launching on November 6th. According to Nexon, players will be able to unlock a Bayonetta skin for the character Gley, complete with a weapon skin based on her signature Scarborough Fair pistols. A new trailer showcased Bayonetta joining the fight, using her incredible skills – including her iconic Witch Time ability for slow-motion attacks – to help the Descendants.

Beyond a new weapon and character outfit for Gley, *The First Descendant* announced the collaboration with Bayonetta will also include cosmetic items based on her iconic heel-guns. Players can also expect other items inspired by Platinum Games’ action style, like a unique makeup look, special character animations, and custom effects when entering or leaving areas. To celebrate the news, *The First Descendant* will be livestreaming on September 26th at 5 PM Pacific Time. The stream will showcase the October 1st update, which includes the new Sword weapon, its customizable parts, and a brand-new dungeon to explore.

This isn’t the first time *The First Descendant* has teamed up with a popular game. Back in May 2025, they announced a partnership with *NieR*, adding cosmetic items inspired by the Square Enix series. These items, including skins for the characters 2B and A2 from *NieR: Automata*, were released in early August with the launch of Season 3.
