Bellwright Details Big New Update Coming on December 9

Snail Games USA announced that the medieval survival RPG, Bellwright, will receive a significant update on December 9th. The update includes a large new map to explore, fresh story quests, improved ways to progress in the game, and various other new features and enhancements to make the experience better.

Donkey Crew is currently developing Bellwright, which launched into Steam Early Access in April 2024 and is still in development almost two years later. Even though the full version isn’t available yet, players can already experience a lot of gameplay, including challenging combat, the ability to lead armies in big battles, and crafting to upgrade both themselves and their soldiers. The game also has a developing main story where you play a character falsely accused of murder, and must build an army to overthrow the land’s oppressive rulers.

Bellwright Getting Major ‘Maiden Voyage’ Update on December 9

On December 9, 2025, the game Bellwright will receive a major update called ‘Maiden Voyage’. While Bellwright has been updated frequently over the last 20 months, this will be its biggest update yet, adding a variety of new features to the early access RPG on Steam.

The biggest highlight of Bellwright’s Maiden Voyage update is definitely the new Halmare Isles map, which includes a ton of fresh content like story quests, items, town-building options, and a new Loyalty and Faction system. Plus, this update finally brings customization features players have been asking for, with a completely revamped Character Creator taking center stage.

Snail Games USA announced the ‘Maiden Voyage’ update for Bellwright, and Creative Director Florian Hoffreither shared that this update represents the culmination of the team’s work since the game first launched in early access in 2024. He also highlighted the game’s continued success.
