Ben 10 was one of the earliest successful shows to come from Cartoon Network. The original series premiered in 2005 and first introduced the idea of ‘The Plumbers,’ thanks to the character Max Tennyson. Later, Ben and his cousin continued their grandfather’s legacy, and the franchise grew from there.

The series has featured a lot of skilled Plumbers, but dedicated fans have their favorites. As an intergalactic police force, the Plumbers are full of capable individuals. Ben has worked alongside many of them, and a few really stand out as being exceptional.

10. Blukic and Driba Are the Dumbest Galvans in the Entire Series, But Still Help Ben

Blukic and Driba aren’t the brightest Galvans ever shown in the series, but they’re still much smarter than the average human. While they couldn’t build an Omnitrix, they can easily solve complex math problems. However, they completely lack practical thinking and common sense.

These two incredibly smart, but often reckless, individuals tend to create as many issues as they solve. Despite this, they’re responsible for fixing a lot of problems across the multiverse, and have even managed to save the world – though it was a one-time feat they probably couldn’t repeat. Ben likely keeps them around mostly as a personal favor to their creator, Asmuth.

9. Alan Albright Is an Incredible Human and Pyronite Hybrid Who is Later Trained by Max

First Appears in Ben 10: Alien Force, Season 1, Epsidoe 3, “Everybody Talks About the Weather”

Alan is a unique character – a mix of human and Pyronite – who was actually created by Kevin. He first meets Ben early in Alien Force and becomes a regular part of the show. Ben initially helps Alan learn to manage his powers, and later, with training from Grandpa Max, Alan joins The Plumber’s Helpers before becoming a full member of the Plumbers organization.

Young Alan is very different from Ben, behaving much older than his age. He remains calm and thoughtful when the police question him about the recent fires, only becoming aggressive when he feels threatened. Luckily, Ben steps in to de-escalate the situation before it gets worse.

8. Magister Patelliday Shines in Omniverse, But His Redesign is Terrible

Picciss Volann aren’t usually considered among the most powerful aliens in the series, largely because they can only survive underwater. However, Patelliday overcomes this limitation with a special suit, enabling him to become a Magister.

Magister Patelliday is the Earth Plumbers’ second-in-command, meaning he’s highly skilled. While he appears a bit clumsy in the Omniverse, that’s due to how he was created, not a lack of ability. He’s often portrayed as a bumbling, comedic character, similar to Barney Fife, but he’s ultimately a kind and good-hearted person.

7. Lucy Mann Is One of the Plumber’s Most Interesting Alien Operatives

First Appears in Ben 10, Season 4, Episode 4, “Big Fat Alien Wedding”

Lucy Mann is introduced in the fourth season of the original series. Though she looks human, she’s actually a Lenopan – a type of sludge monster that can take human form. She’s related to Ben and Gwen through marriage as a cousin, and is known as one of the most skilled plumbers of her generation.

Lenopan is cheerful and easygoing, but surprisingly effective in her job. She’s new to the Omniverse team, yet she immediately helps Ben and Gwen defeat a powerful enemy. Despite being wrongly suspected of being a spy by Gwen, she takes it in stride. Lucy’s optimistic nature might make some suspicious, but that’s simply part of who she is.

6. Cooper Is Almost As Capable at Controlling Technology as Upgrade

First Appears in Ben 10 Season 4, Episode 8, “Ben 10 vs. Negative 10: Part 1”

Cooper is a technopath, able to control technology with his mind. He’s initially quite small, but experiences a major growth spurt later in Ultimate Alien. As a mutant, he’s also surprisingly strong for his previous size.

This plumber is remarkably adaptable – he quickly understands and uses new technology. While he’d be helpless in a situation with no resources, like a desert, placing him in a high-tech, clandestine government agency makes him incredibly powerful. It’s a shame he’s never seen again after the ‘Ultimate Alien’ storyline.

5. Kevin Levin Is One of the Greatest Redemption Arcs in the Series

Kevin Levin is a complex character in the Ben 10 series, often struggling with darkness. Despite repeatedly falling into villainy, Ben consistently believes in his potential for good, especially as he learns more about Kevin’s unique situation. Kevin is a hybrid of human and Osmosian, giving him the power to absorb the properties of anything he touches. However, this incredible ability comes with a significant drawback.

Kevin becomes erratic and loses control when he takes in too much energy, which usually leads to his angry outbursts – he doesn’t necessarily want to cause trouble. As soon as Ben removes the excess energy, Kevin deeply regrets his actions. Despite this, he’s managed to redeem himself and save the world several times.

4. Gwen Tennyson Is Half Earthling and Half Powerful Magical Anodite

First Appears in Ben 10, Season 1, Episode 1, “And Then There Were 10”

Gwen Tennyson appears to be a typical human, but she’s actually quite extraordinary. While the show initially presents her as someone interested in magic, it’s later revealed that she’s half-Anodite, giving her powers that are even greater than those of her well-known cousin.

Gwen deliberately holds back from using her full power, but still has a diverse range of abilities without losing her human side. She can form objects and shields out of energy, and even imprison opponents in incredibly strong bubbles. Because her magic relies heavily on focus, she’s likely to win any fight if she can maintain concentration.

3. Rook Blonko Follows Magister Tennyson’s Example to the Intense Letter

Rook Blonko is a standout character in Ben 10: Omniverse. He’s a by-the-book Plumber who always tries to do things the right way, much like Max Tennyson. While he doesn’t have a lot of practical experience, he’s incredibly well-trained and intelligent. In many ways, he’s essential to Ben’s success throughout the series.

Blonko takes things very literally and often doesn’t recognize sarcasm or jokes. Despite this, he’s incredibly polite and can easily fit in and get along with almost anyone. He’s even helped Ben save the universe on several occasions. While he might not be Ben’s top choice for a teammate, he’s actually the most skilled and capable one.

Ben Tennyson is an incredibly powerful hero, capable of transforming into beings with god-like abilities. However, his biggest weakness isn’t a villain, but his own arrogance and immaturity. Despite many different versions of the character, Ben often fails to mature, and his personality remains largely unchanged.

Ben is incredibly powerful, but the writers consistently hold him back whenever he starts to grow as a character. He’s exceptionally skilled, arguably more so than many others in the series, but his constant boasting always gets him into trouble. While he experiences humbling moments throughout the show, he quickly falls back into his self-centered habits when it suits him.

1. Max Tennyson is the Greatest Plumber in the History of the Organization

Max Tennyson is widely considered the best Plumber ever. He was Asmuth’s original choice to receive the Omnitrix and plays a crucial role throughout the entire series. He’s the reason Ben becomes a Plumber, and essentially sets the whole story in motion.

As the series continues, Max will likely appear less often, which is understandable since Ben is supposed to be maturing. However, viewers initially saw Ben acting recklessly without Grandpa Max’s guidance. Fortunately, Max eventually came back and helped Ben get back on track.
