This Arrancar stands out as one of the most twisted characters to grace the series, with a combat style that borders on demented, rivaling even the Quincy As Nodt in sinister ingenuity. His penchant for creating “dolls” of his adversaries, which he uses for his own twisted amusement, is a testament to this. The only individual who’s managed to thwart him was another brilliant scientist, Mayuri of the Shinigami. In an ingenious move, Mayuri baited Szayelaporro into consuming a concoction that slowed his time significantly. So much so, that Mayuri’s fatal wound would take centuries for Szayelaporro to actually feel its effects.

In the game, Szayelaporro is a powerful six-star character, particularly notable due to his diverse skillset. His abilities like Long Reach, Havoc, and Adrenaline not only extend his attacking range but also make his attacks more effective against multiple targets. Additionally, he has a melee attack style that inflicts poison, and a special move, Teatro de Titere, which creates a doll that mimics the appearance of its opponent and deals massive damage, while also poisoning any enemy it strikes.

18 Nanao Ise (Resurrection, Heart)

Decent Potential As An AOE Stunner

Contrary to her bubbly uncle and Captain Shunsui Kyoraku of 1st Division, Nanao Ise is a strict warrior who holds everything about the Shinigami in high regard. Such is her commanding presence that she’s not just an expert in Kido techniques but even boasts high mobility via Shunpo. In fact, Shunpo allowed Nanao to be just as fast as masters Kyoraku and 13th Division Captain Jushiro Ukitake, proving that Nanao is more than meets the eye.

Nanao demonstrates that a support unit can have a versatile role, extending beyond just healing, as she specializes in weakening enemy lines to allow her teammates to deliver the finishing blows effectively. For example, skills like Sprinter, Bruiser, and Berserker significantly boost her offensive capabilities. However, it’s her Weaken Defense that truly sets her apart. This skill adds a defense debuff to her special move, making the foes she encounters even more vulnerable. Her Hyapporankan/Gochu Tekkan (special move) not only inflicts massive damage on enemies but also immobilizes them upon hit.

17 Sosuke Aizen (Fourth Fusion, Technique)

Chance To Insta-Kill With Frequent Strong Attack

The initial betrayal of Aizen took Bleach readers by surprise in the early storylines of the manga, and it wasn’t until he obtained the all-powerful Hougyoku that his ultimate scheme was disclosed. His skills such as Bruiser, Frenzy, and Devastation greatly boost his damage output, making him an absolute terror on the battlefield. To add to his already impressive abilities, Long Reach and Enhancer significantly enhance this Aizen variant’s range and Special Move capabilities. Players should be mindful of Aizen’s Full Incantation Kurohitsugi (Special Move), as it has the potential to deal immense damage and even instant-kill opponents. I’ve seen it happen more times than I can count, and it never fails to amaze me. If you’re looking for a character that can dish out massive amounts of damage quickly, Aizen is definitely worth considering.

16 Kenpachi Zaraki (The Lost Agent, Speed)

Despite his notoriety as a blood-lusting warrior, Kenpachi Zaraki (The Lost Agent) is easily one of the most powerful characters in Bleach lore. Crucial to his character setup are abilities like Bombardment, Debilitator, and Fire Duration which significantly increase the duration and intensity of his Special’s impact. This enhancement greatly amplifies his potential, particularly when Hell’s Fire (Special Move) not only inflicts heavy damage but also burns any enemies it strikes, effectively transforming into a potent Damage-Over-Time (DOT) weapon when paired with similar effects such as Poison.

14 Sojiro Kusaka (Movie 2, Mind)

In battle, it’s common for her agility to outmaneuver opponents, which also makes her one of the top-tier characters, or 6-star characters, in the game Brave Souls.

Through her “Mukyu Shunko” technique, Soi Fon employs her extraordinary agility and strikes at speeds beyond ordinary perception, leaving a trail of destruction in her path. To make matters worse, Soi Fon has the ability to transform and empower her melee attacks during combat. When she uses this power, she takes on an enhanced form and delivers even stronger blows with her melee attacks. In conjunction with her special move, Soi Fon proves to be a devastating finisher in battle.

11 Yasutora Sado (The Bond, Speed)

Enhancer Fit For PVP Buffing

Amongst my gaming buddies, it’s hard not to notice the gentleness and kindness that radiates from Yasutora Sado, better known as Chad. Sure, he might look like your typical tough guy, but don’t be fooled – there’s a lot more to this character than meets the eye.

As a gamer, I’m tearing it up with the “Left Arm of the Devil” Special! With each punch, I deal massive damage to my opponents and leave them frozen stiff. Plus, I’ve got this Melee Buff that amps up my attacks even more. It makes me a formidable bruiser on the battlefield, and with my Poise skill keeping me from staggering and my Enhancer skill boosting my buffs, I’m a force to be reckoned with!

10 Kenpachi Zaraki (The Belief, Power)

Decent For Chronicle Quest Farming

Kenpachi Zaraki stands out among all Shinigami Captains for his unbeatable strength, and though he enjoys battle, he holds a tender affection for his faithful companion Yachiru. In the version of him called “The Belief” in the game Brave Souls, Kenpachi can be seen with Yachiru by his side as they visit Ichigo in the human world.

Due to the “The Demon Awakens” special ability, he metamorphoses and launches an assault that inflicts immense harm and weakens adversaries, making them susceptible for his team or Kenpachi to eliminate. His resilience against being staggered (thanks to Poise skill), his ability to prolong ailments (Debilitator skill), and enhancements for all his attacks make Kenpachi a versatile, high-damage character.

9 Shigekuni Genryusai Yamamoto (One-Armed, Technique)

Perfect For Average PVE Content

I have no doubt that I’ll be remembered as one of the strongest Shinigami Captains ever, given my reputation. It’s not just the title of Supreme Commander of all Shinigami that sets me apart; it’s the way I demonstrate my power. In battle, I can easily face off against multiple Captain-level Shinigami with just one arm. Only a select few, like Aizen and Yhwach – two of Soul Society’s most powerful beings – have managed to cause me any harm.

In the game “Brave Souls“, Genryusai’s One-Armed Variation stands out as the most impressive, symbolizing the moment when Aizen lost his arm during their intense battle. Using the “All-Engulfing Ocean Of Fire”, Genryusai can release a massive explosion that scorches enemies nearby. With the skills “Debilitator” and “Poise”, Genryusai becomes an unrelenting force of damage, as “Debilitator” prolongs the opponent’s status effects, while “Poise” prevents Genryusai from being staggered.

8 Ichigo Kurosaki (Fourth Anniversary – Fully Hollowfied, Mind)

Temporary Invincibility Adds Much-Needed Survivability

The main character, Ichigo Kurosaki, isn’t just a Shinigami; he has the innate abilities of a Hollow too. In honor of Brave Soul‘s Fourth Anniversary, players can obtain a fresh rendition of Ichigo’s Full Hollow form as a 6-Star character. This Full Hollow form is truly chilling in the manga, and its intimidating power is palpable in the game.

Via “Immanent God Blues,” character Ichigo can release a potent aerial Cero that causes severe harm to opponents. This move, along with Ichigo’s entire arsenal of damaging abilities, becomes even more lethal when augmented by skills like Poise, which prevents staggering, and Reduced Damage Received (Skill), a skill provided by Captains.

7 Orihime Inoue (The Bond, Heart)

Decent Support With Heal For PVE Content

Throughout the series, Orihime Inoue stays by Ichigo’s side as one of his human confidantes. And when she unlocked her latent psychic powers via the Shun Shun Rikka, her supportive arsenal became a massive help to Ichigo and his allies. In Brave Souls, Orihime’s The Bond variant shows her still trying to grasp the full extent of her abilities.

Despite being one of several six-star characters in the game, Orihime remains exceptionally beneficial due to her exceptional healing capabilities. Her “I Won’t Hold You Back!” special not only restores a significant amount of health to her team, but it also enables her to attack while using Koten Zanshun, thus combining support with an offensive role. Furthermore, her special abilities “Melee (Barriers)” and “Melee (Heal)” enable her to provide defensive and healing buffs to allies during the course of battle.

As an avid fan, I’d express it like this: “I find myself drawn to this version of Ulquiorra, tailor-made for long-range missions and Espada Guild quests. His unique abilities enable him to outmaneuver enemy defenses (Sharpshooter) while ramping up hits (Frenzy, Bombardment) and damage (Berserker, Devastation) from both strong and special attacks. Ulquiorra significantly boosts his special’s impact with extended ailment duration (Debilitator) and a 40% damage increase to enemies afflicted with status ailments (Damage to Status Ailment Afflicted Enemies). However, he lacks robust defenses and there’s a slight delay when executing strong attacks. Yet, his immunity to all status ailments (Complete Status Immunity) makes him a formidable force on the battlefield.”

Enthusiasts of power blending will admire the abundance of this element in “Bleach: Brave Souls“, as evidently demonstrated by the character Uryu Ishida (Speed, 7th Anniversary). By merging his Quincy abilities with Ichigo’s Soul Reaper aura, Uryu undergoes a transformation into a more streamlined Quincy armor outfit, equipped with a Reiatsu sword instead of the usual bow. In this new form, he enjoys increased uses and range from Flash Steps (Sprinter, Long Stride), along with a long-range Special Move that inflicts both Weakening and Drain effects (Brilliant Ray).

In this variant of Uryu, you’ll notice increased effectiveness in terms of hits, damage, and area-of-effect from his Strongs (Frenzy), as well as stronger Normals and Specials (Bruiser, Devastation). He also possesses the ability to bypass enemy defense and strike hidden opponents (Guard Break + Hit Hidden Enemies), and has a higher probability of causing status effects more frequently (Increased Status Ailment Chance). Additionally, Uryu’s attacks include an inherent healing factor (Natural Drain), providing him with a degree of self-sustainability.

It’s not surprising that a game like Bleach: Brave Souls would offer distinctive interpretations of its characters, considering that their units often have versions that reflect their series appearances. In this instance, the character Ichigo Kurosaki (Mind, 7th Anniversary) represents a fusion of Ichigo gaining his Soul Reaper abilities with Uryu Ishida’s Quincy energies. This amalgamation gives Ichigo a more streamlined white attire, and his Bankai transforms into a bow rather than a katana.

In this revamped version of Ichigo, he transforms into an effective long-range attacker. He’s not just capable of penetrating defensive barriers (Sharpshooter), but also deals extra damage with his basic attacks (Bruiser) and strong attacks (Berserker). Furthermore, his strong attacks (Frenzy) and special moves (Bombardment) generate additional hits. Represented by Ichigo Kurosaki (Power, 9th Anniversary Renewed), this rendition is inspired by Ichigo’s Mugetsu form, where Zangetsu appears through him in a final assault against Aizen. Within the gacha game, this specific Ichigo variant can utilize additional Flash Steps (Sprinter, Long Stride) and is immune to all status effects (Complete Status Immunity). True to its origin, this Ichigo variant’s Special Move is a powerful slash that inflicts Weaken (Final Getsugatensho) and reduces Defense (Weaken Defense).

In terms of combat abilities, the enhanced Power Ichigo boasts a larger selection of potent Frenzy, Berserker, and expansive Havoc Strong Attacks. This isn’t because of her status as the 11th Division Captain but rather her legacy as the first “Kenpachi.” Even her name means “Eight-Thousand Styles,” denoting her mastery over the blade. It’s said that when she and Kenpachi finally clash, one of them is bound to die. Yachiru finally unleashes the full extent of her power in the “Thousand-Year Blood War” arc, and it’s this variant that makes her one of the best 6 Star Characters in Brave Souls.

In the heat of battle, wielding my Special ability “Minazuki (All Things End),” I unleash the full power of my Bankai. Not just a devastating attack, it also restores health to my comrades. To top it off, there’s even a tiny chance it could instantly eliminate an opponent. My role as a damage dealer and healer gets even stronger with my anti-stagger Poise skill and the team-healing benefits of my Medic skill.
