As a seasoned Call of Duty player with over a decade under my belt, I can confidently say that these loadouts are tailored to give you the competitive edge you need in Black Ops 6 Ranked Play. With my years of experience, I’ve learned that every second counts and these loadouts are designed to maximize speed, mobility, and efficiency.
Black Ops 6’s Ranked Play is currently at its peak with Season 1 Reloaded bringing a fresh arsenal of weapons. Although the weapon bans aim to eliminate overpowered setups, they do limit players’ choices. However, there are still effective weapon and accessory pairings to opt for in the competitive game mode.
With the optimal controller and keyboard configuration, our suggested loadouts could provide a competitive advantage. Here are some top-ranked loadout options for Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 that you might want to test.
Best BO6 Ranked Play loadouts
Assault Rifles
In Ranked Play, the Krig C, Model L, and XM4 are no longer allowed, leaving only the AMES 85 and GPR 91 as viable AR choices. Each weapon has its strengths: the AMES 85 boasts superior velocity and fire rate, while the GPR 91 focuses on mobility.
For each weapon, we’ve created two distinct equipment configurations – one with the Gunfighter Wildcard included and another without it.
AMES 85 (Without Gunfighter)
- Optic: Kepler Microflex
- Muzzle: Compensator
- Barrel: Gain Twist Barrel
- Underbarrel: Vertical Foregrip
- Rear Grip: Ergonomic Grip
While optics can boil down to personal preference, the Kepler Microflex provides ample magnification alongside a clean line of sight making it our pick for this loadout.
To help minimize horizontal recoil, it’s best to use a Compensator for the Muzzle. If you’re confident in your aim, it might be worth switching to a Suppressor to hide your position on the enemy minimap. The Gain Twist Barrel significantly boosts bullet velocity which pairs well with the weapon’s solid damage range. To help minimize the recoil even further, use the Vertical Foregrip in the underbarrel slot.
To conclude, the Ergonomic Grip enhances the agility of your operator by accelerating the rate at which they can move the slide, quickly go from diving to firing, and swiftly sight their target.
AMES 85 (With Gunfighter)
- Optic: Kepler Microflex
- Muzzle: Compensator
- Barrel: Gain Twist Barrel
- Underbarrel: Vertical Foregrip
- Rear Grip: Ergonomic Grip
- Stock: Balanced Stock
- Fire Mods: Recoil Springs
The Gunfighter Wildcard upgrade allows you to add up to eight attachments to your weapon, increasing from the standard five. In the additional slots, we’ve chosen the Balanced Stock for enhanced mobility, along with the Recoil Springs (Fire Mod) to minimize both horizontal and vertical recoil.
GPR 91 (Without Gunfighter)
- Optic: Kepler Microflex
- Muzzle: Suppressor
- Barrel: Gain Twist Barrel
- Underbarrel: Ranger Foregrip
- Rear Grip: Commando Grip
The Ranger Foregrip lessens the impact of recoil by enhancing its horizontal control and slightly boosting your speed during sprints. For our final attachment, we’ve opted for the Commando Grip to enhance aim-down-sight speed and the rate at which you transition from sprinting to firing.
GPR 91 (With Gunfighter)
- Optic: Kepler Microflex
- Muzzle: Suppressor
- Barrel: Gain Twist Barrel
- Underbarrel: Ranger Foregrip
- Rear Grip: Commando Grip
- Stock: Balanced Stock
- Fire Mods: Recoil Springs
In the extra spaces given by the Gunfighter Wildcard, we’ve incorporated the Balanced Stock and Recoil Springs. The stock enhances and strengthens the basic weapon’s good maneuverability, while the Recoil Springs reduce the recoil for better control.
SMGs
Jackal PDW
- Muzzle: Suppressor
- Barrel: Reinforced Barrel
- Underbarrel: Vertical Foregrip
- Magazine: Extended Mag I
- Rear Grip: Commando Grip
The Jackal PDW is a fast-firing, mobile SMG perfect for close-quarters combat. For all of the weapon’s merits, its recoil, damage range, and base ammo capacity leave a little to be desired. Our loadout helps address these issues starting with the Reinforced Barrel which helps improve the bullet velocity and damage range.
In the space beneath the barrel, the Vertical Foregrip stands out as it effectively reduces horizontal recoil. The Extended Magazine I attachment adds extra ammunition without significantly slowing down reload times. Lastly, the Commando Grip improves both aim-down-sight and sprint-to-fire speeds to ensure that the weapon’s quick maneuverability remains unaltered.
If you’re working with Gunfighter, consider enhancing your setup by including the Balanced Stock and Recoil Springs accessories for a more complete configuration.
Pistols
Stryder.22
- Optic: Kepler Microflex
- Magazine: Fast Mag II
- Rear Grip: Quickdraw Grip
In Ranked Play, the Stryder.22 is the sole pistol available, and it comes with just three attachments. Given that you might need to switch to this handgun in a crisis, speed at drawing the weapon and overall mobility are crucial factors. Therefore, we suggest using the Fast Mag II for swift reloading and the Quickdraw Grip for enhanced mobility.
Best Perks and equipment in BO6 Ranked Play
- Perk 1: Flak Jacket or Ninja
- Perk 2: Fast Hands
- Perk 3: Double Time
- Wildcard: Perk Greed
- Perk Greed: Ninja or Dexterity
- Melee: Knife
- Lethal: Semtex
- Tactical: Flashbang
- Field Upgrade: Trophy System
As a stealthy gamer, I’ve found that the Ninja Perk significantly enhances my gameplay experience by minimizing the sound of my movements, making it harder for enemies to detect me – particularly in modes like Search and Destroy where positioning is key. On the other hand, when it comes to enduring grenade onslaughts in modes such as Hardpoint and Control, the Flak Jacket Perk becomes an indispensable asset, offering much-needed protection against those pesky explosives.
For Perk 2, you’re limited to choosing “Fast Hands“, whereas for Perk 3, “Double Time” is a smart choice because it extends the tactical sprint duration. As for the Wildcard slot, I’d recommend going with “Perk Greed” to maximize the benefit of that additional Perk slot.
When it comes to selecting items for the lethal spot, both Semtex and Frag Grenades serve as effective choices. Ultimately, the decision often boils down to individual preference. For a surprise factor, consider using Flashbangs in the tactical slot; they’re great for disorienting opponents or approaching fortified locations.
Although using top-ranked loadouts in multiplayer provides an advantage, don’t forget to explore the optimal PC settings and our Tier List for Black Ops 6 weapons as well.
