You’re basically thrown into raids all by yourself and have to go up against full teams of three players. It’s not about having the biggest guns; it’s all about being smart, outplaying the enemy, and just trying to survive long enough to get back to Speranza. It’s seriously a test of skill!
This guide will help you choose the best equipment in ARC Raiders whether you’re playing alone or with a team, giving you a competitive advantage against other players.
Best Solo vs Squads Mode Build in ARC Raiders
In ARC Raiders, you can unlock the Solo vs. Squads mode by reaching level 40 with your character. After leveling up, a new option for Solo vs. Squads will appear below the ‘Fill Squad’ button. Select it, then press play to choose your gear and start battling against full teams on your own.

Augment
The Tactical Mk2 is a top choice for players in Solo vs. Squads. It offers plenty of inventory space, but its real strength lies in the smoke it releases when your armor is destroyed, giving you a crucial advantage.
This will be incredibly helpful when you’re caught in a crossfire. The smoke will hide you, allowing you to either escape or move to a safer location.
Weapon Selection
When choosing weapons, it’s best to have one for fighting from a distance and another for quickly taking down enemies up close. Good, affordable options include the Anvil revolver and the IL Toro shotgun.
As a fan, I can tell you that Anvil is awesome! It’s got incredible range and really packs a punch, letting you shatter enemy shields and stop them from rushing me. And if anyone gets too close for comfort, a quick blast or two from the IL Toro shotgun takes care of them fast!
Okay, so if you want to really dominate in this game, trust me, you need to get at least a level 2 suppressor on your Anvil. It seriously helps you stay hidden while you pick off enemies. And for my IL Toro? I always run a choke and an extended mag 2. It makes a huge difference in getting those quick, effective shots off when things get chaotic.
Healing Items
Make sure you have enough medical supplies, especially Surge Shield Rechargers and standard rechargers. If your shield runs out of power, use a regular recharger first, then a Surge Shield Recharger to quickly fill it back up.
Always carry at least one Vita Spray on your character to quickly restore health during urgent situations. Herbal Bandages are also useful for healing when you have more time.
Utility Items
When you’re playing solo and facing entire enemy teams, it’s crucial to protect yourself with mines. Using both Jolt Mines and Explosive Mines will effectively cover different ways enemies can approach your location. This way, you’ll either get a warning they’re coming or gain an advantage in a fight.
Other Tips & Strategies
It’s also a good idea to carry Trigger Nades if you have them. Even though they’ve been weakened, they can still quickly remove the shields of several enemies. If you hit an enemy with a Jolt Mine, following up with two Trigger Nades can either eliminate them or significantly reduce their health.
If you’re able to create a Snap Hook, you can store it in your Safe Pocket and use it during gameplay. It’s an incredibly helpful item for quickly moving your character to a new location or escaping a risky situation.
The key to success is finding a safe, visible position where you can see the enemy teams. Knowing the map well is crucial for survival, so it’s best to play on maps you already know. Try a few practice matches with basic gear to get comfortable with the game mode before jumping in with your best equipment and tackling the current biggest challenge in ARC Raiders.
