Best Characters to Counter Luna Snow in Marvel Rivals

As a seasoned Marvel Rivals player with countless battles under my belt, I can confidently say that these characters are top-tier choices when it comes to countering Luna Snow. From Star-Lord’s interstellar agility to Iron Fist’s iron fist, each hero brings a unique set of skills to the table.

In the Marvel Rivals game, Luna Snow is a formidable character often faced by players. With her ability to dish out significant damage and swiftly evade pursuers, defeating her can prove tricky. Mastering the strategy to overcome her is crucial, as her Ultimate move can drastically alter the course of a battle.

It’s fortunate that several Marvel Rivals heroes work well against Luna Snow. Characters who can quickly overpower or match her pace are excellent choices, but those who deal significant damage from a distance often fare better against her. Here are some of the top characters for countering Luna Snow in Marvel Rivals.

5. Captain America

Super Speed and High Damage

  • Class: Vanguard
  • Difficulty: Three stars

Captain America’s talents enable him to swiftly bridge the distance between himself and his adversaries at high speed. With his Dashing Attack, he becomes one of the quickest characters in the game, and his Vibranium Energy Sickle is useful for dispatching enemies trying to escape. Consequently, he ranks among the most effective heroes for players to employ against Luna Snow.

Luna Snow inflicts significant damage, making it crucial to have a character like Captain America who can match her speed and durability to retaliate. Although Captain America might not necessarily defeat Luna Snow outright, he can keep her occupied for an extended period, which could deplete the enemy team’s healing resources and result in their defeat. Moreover, Captain America is also a valuable asset because he can assist his flankers in attacking Strategists while offering additional support.

4. Hawkeye

One-Shot Potential

  • Class: Duelist
  • Difficulty: Four stars

As a Strategist, Luna Snow possesses one of the less robust health reserves among all Marvel Rivals characters. Consequently, she is quite susceptible to characters such as Hawkeye who can eliminate her with a single attack. The reason being, Hawkeye’s Archer’s Focus passive amplifies his danger potential, as the longer he focuses on a target, the more damage he inflicts. However, mastering Hawkeye requires some practice, but when you do, he becomes an effective counter to Luna Snow.

Furthermore, his Ultimate skill poses a challenge for Luna Snow. It generates mirrored foes, and if he fires at these reflections, the original enemies sustain damage. This is quite problematic for Luna Snow’s Smooth Skate ability. Even if she tries to escape by activating it, you can still target the reflections and inflict substantial damage on her – potentially causing her defeat. Essentially, Hawkeye limits Luna Snow’s play area, making it tougher for her to heal her teammates.

3. Venom

High Mobility and Slowing Abilities

  • Class: Vanguard
  • Difficulty: One star

When facing Luna Snow, Venom is a strong opponent. He’s got the knack for darting into the enemy’s back lines and dishing out significant damage in no time, thanks to his skills like Venom Swing and Alien Biology which provide him exceptional mobility. This agility makes it tricky to predict his movements. On top of that, when he lands on a target, Frenzied Arrival lets him inflict damage and finish them off with regular attacks.

This character’s high mobility and destructive power make him an effective counterpart when used alone. However, his robust health due to Symbiotic Resilience makes him tough to eliminate, so defeating him won’t be an easy task. Furthermore, Cellular Corrosion not only hinders Luna Snow but also slows her down, causing her Smooth Skate ability to lose effectiveness and making it challenging for her to escape from him.

2. Star-Lord

High Mobility and High Damage

  • Class: Duelist
  • Difficulty: Two stars

Star-Lord is a formidable character within the Marvel Rivals universe, and it’s not hard to see why. He excels at aerial combat and can swiftly enter battles while suspended in mid-air. Moreover, his destructive power is immense, particularly with skills such as Blaster Barrage. If you enjoy playstyles similar to Tracer from Overwatch – where the focus is on rapid entry, precise targeting, and speedy exit – then Star-Lord could be an ideal hero for you.

As a die-hard cinephile, I’ve got to say that Star-Lord’s Ultimate is an absolute game-changer! It grants me the freedom to glide effortlessly and intensifies my attack power, making it one of the most formidable Duelist Ultimates in the game. When going up against Luna Snow, these abilities prove to be a formidable combination. She’ll find it tough to evade me, and by the time she realizes I’m there, her health will already be dwindling. Since Star-Lord can maintain his position in the sky, it becomes quite challenging for Luna players to keep tabs on my location, let alone try to harm or freeze me with Absolute Zero.

1. Iron Fist

High Fire-Rate. Mobility, And Damage

  • Class: Duelist
  • Difficulty: Four stars

Interestingly, Iron Fist proves to be both an effective teammate for Luna Snow and a formidable opponent. Luna’s ability to deal damage is impressive, but she lacks a rapid-fire rate compared to other characters. This disparity makes Iron Fist a powerful adversary for her, given his exceptionally high rate of fire in the game.

To put it simply, the abilities Crane Leap and Wall Runner enable him to swiftly catch up with Luna Snow. Although Smooth Skate makes her quite fast, Iron Fist typically manages to maintain pace with her, even surpassing her in certain instances. This significantly complicates Luna’s attempts to escape. When teamed with Captain America, overcoming this Duelist becomes extremely challenging for Luna Snow in the game Marvel Rivals.
