The holiday season – November, December, and January – isn’t usually when the biggest video games come out. However, there are still many great games planned for release during the 2025 holidays.
Okay, so as 2025 is ending, it feels like we’re getting hit with amazing game after amazing game from August right through October. Things quiet down for a bit, and then the new season really kicks off around February and March. Of course, we’ve got the holidays in between, but even before all that, 2025 still has a few incredible titles coming out that I’m really excited about!

Football Manager 26
Honestly, as a huge FM fan, it feels like forever since we last got a new game – two whole years! But finally, Football Manager 26 is here. It’s a bit wild, though, because even though it’s getting some really harsh reviews on Steam, people are still buying it like crazy!
It would make a nice present under the tree, and is sure to eat up any free time you have.
Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment
Age of Imprisonment brings the action-packed, large-scale battles seen in games like Dynasty Warriors to the world of The Legend of Zelda. While it emphasizes combat over traditional Zelda elements like dungeon crawling and puzzles, this approach makes it a truly standout title in the series.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 7
The next Call of Duty game, Black Ops 7, is almost certain to be a popular gift this holiday season, regardless of what critics say. It’s a new Call of Duty title, and that’s enough for many players. TopMob recognizes this, and is offering a discount on the game below.
Kirby Air Riders
Okay, so everyone thought the next big racing game on the new Nintendo Switch 2 was going to be another Mario Kart, and honestly, it seemed like a sure thing for 2025. Metroid Prime 4: Beyond
Development of Metroid Prime 4: Beyond was a long and challenging process, and there were fears it might never be released, similar to the delayed game Beyond Good & Evil 2. Thankfully, it’s back on track and scheduled to launch on the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2 in late 2025. It’s easily one of the most hyped games coming out, and definitely worth considering if you plan on owning the new console!
Code Vein 2
Bandai Namco first tried to create a Souls-like game with the original Code Vein. While it didn’t achieve the same success as games made by FromSoftware, its beautiful visuals and decent sales convinced Bandai to make a sequel. Code Vein 2 is slated to be a major release in 2026.
