Seriously, even a simple mission has tons of options, it’s not an exaggeration! If you’re getting tired of the usual stealth approach in MGS 5, it’s a hint that you should probably try something completely different – that’s the beauty of this game.

Metal Gear Solid 5 offers players an incredible range of options for stealth, distraction, and combat – from decoys and non-lethal takedowns to a huge selection of upgradable weapons and gadgets. You can even utilize vehicles, horses, or robotic walkers, and enhance your abilities with prosthetic arm upgrades. However, the game is so expansive that you’ll need to invest time in building up your base to unlock all the best tools and truly explore its tactical possibilities in Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain, but the effort is well worth it.

While it’s similar to Deathloop in how much freedom it gives you, Prey focuses a lot more on story and the impact of your choices. What really sets it apart are the Typhon Powers – these incredible alien abilities you won’t find anywhere else. My favorite? The Mimic ability! Being able to turn into everyday objects is so cool – it’s perfect for sneaking around, solving puzzles, and getting into places you normally couldn’t reach. It really adds a whole new layer to the gameplay.

Beyond its many unique and powerful abilities gained through neuromods, Prey boasts an impressive arsenal of weapons and tools. The popular GLOO Cannon is particularly noteworthy, functioning less like a traditional weapon and more like a versatile tool for navigating the environment in creative ways. Combined with smart level design and numerous ways to interact with the world and its inhabitants, Prey remains a standout game for players who enjoy inventive gameplay, and it continues to be highly recommended.
