Gold is incredibly valuable in Dragon Quest VII Reimagined. It lets you buy better equipment and recover at Inns, keeping your characters strong. As you explore new islands, shops offer more powerful items, but they cost more, meaning you’ll always need more money!
This guide will show players an easy way to earn money quickly. We’ll cover helpful tips for maximizing profits after each battle, and recommend the best areas to farm gold early in the game. This will help you avoid money troubles later on.
Best Gold Farming Methods in Dragon Quest 7 Reimagined
When it comes to earning Gold in Dragon Quest 7, three farming methods are generally considered the most effective.
- Farming near an Angel Statue with Full Speed Auto Combat
- Item Farming and Selling to Traders
- Spamming Quick Battles
One way to do this is to find a spot where enemies appear close to an Angel Statue. Good places to look include the Golem Tower in Ballymolloy and the Burnmount area, which opens up after you reach Emberdale.
Both locations have Angel Statues that are easy to reach, but Burnmount is best for quickly earning Gold early in the game. This is because Burnmount has two statues at each end of the farming path. We’ll now focus on explaining that specific path.
Getting Started
Players can start this simple farming route as soon as they reach the first Red Tablet World or Island. This will take them to Emberdale, where they’ll work to prevent a volcano from erupting and destroying the land.
After completing the main story in Emberdale and returning to Estard, players can travel back by ship and find that Burnmount remains accessible. This allows them to repeat a farming route and earn a significant amount of gold.
Head to the entrance of Burnmount and make your way to the top of the volcano – let’s call this spot Point A. Jump inside; you won’t die, but will land on the first platform where you can start collecting resources. Let the game begin!
Make sure to arrange the following settings for Auto-Combat to achieve maximum farming efficiency:
- Tactics = No Mercy
- Combat Speed= Ultra
Best Gold Farming Route in DQ7 Early Game
At the entrance to Burnmout Volcano Cave (the area right below Point A), players need to start a fight. Simply defeat all the enemies on that first level to move forward.
Now that’s done, go to the hole in the center and jump. Keep repeating this process until you reach the lower area (Point B). There, you’ll find an Angel Statue that will restore your character’s health and let you save your progress.
Defeat all enemies in the current area. Restore your health using the Statue, and then find the hole located in the northeast corner. Jump into the hole to access the path to the exit. After climbing back up,…
Okay, so once you head back up, just do what you were doing before – take out enemies! I usually focus on the ones my party can easily beat, or I just let the auto-combat handle it. Honestly, it’s super straightforward and I can consistently earn between 1500 and 1900 points each time I do this.
At the top of the cavern, use the Angel Statue near the entrance to restore your health. Then, exit, which will return you to the starting point, allowing you to repeat this process until you collect enough gold.
As characters level up through this process, they can surpass the normal level cap, guaranteeing instant wins in any fight where they attack first. While this could make earning gold faster overall, it significantly lowers the amount of gold received with each completed run.
Item Farming and Selling to Traders in Dragon Quest 7 Reimagined

As a player, I’d love to see a feature where we can automatically sell all the stuff we don’t need to the traders in town. It would be awesome if that gave us extra gold every time we visited a city – a really nice little boost for just cleaning out our inventory!
There are four ways to obtain items in DQ7 Reimagined:
- Loot from the Floor (Sparkly Treasure)
- Loot from Chests
- Loot from Enemy Drops after combat
- Loot from Yellow Cabinets and Drawers
As players defeat enemies and open chests, they’ll collect a lot of extra items like rags, cypress sticks, and other basic equipment. To make more gold, they’ll need to sell everything they don’t need.
