Initially, “Tales of Graces” was exclusively launched on the Wii console in Japan during 2009. Unfortunately, North American players had to wait until the enhanced version, titled “Tales of Graces f,” hit the PS3 shelves in 2012. Since then, this game has been somewhat overlooked; however, it’s making a return with an update, called “Tales of Graces f Remastered“.
One fantastic aspect of Tales of Graces f Remastered is the convenience offered by the Grade Shop. At the onset of the game, players have the option to customize their journey with assist-like features using Grades such as accelerating movement or discounting shop prices. For beginners, here’s a guide on which Grades are most beneficial:
1. Speed Up Movement – This Grade speeds up your character’s movements, making it easier for new players to traverse the game world quickly.
2. Cheap Shopping – This Grade reduces the cost of items in shops, allowing you to purchase essential equipment without breaking the bank early on.
3. Increased Experience – This Grade increases the experience points you earn, helping newbies level up faster and keep pace with more experienced players.
4. Auto-Battle – With this Grade enabled, your characters will automatically engage enemies in battle, allowing you to focus on exploring the game world without worrying about every encounter.
5. Extra Item Drops – This Grade increases the chances of receiving additional items when defeating enemies, giving new players a better chance at finding useful equipment and resources.
7. 5X Experience
Level Up Faster
Playing RPGs to gain experience points (EXP) and level up might be a deterrent for some people due to the repetitive nature it can take on, depending on the game’s difficulty. In the game Tales of Graces f Remastered, players have the option to purchase a ‘5X Experience’ grade that multiplies the EXP earned in battle by five. This can help make leveling up more enjoyable and less tedious for players.
Additional, less demanding options are available too. Moreover, players have the choice to decrease the EXP they earn by half for a tougher experience. Players might also consider boosting their Max HP by 1000, which could provide them with a significant defensive advantage in battles.
6. Chain Capacity +2
Use More Moves In Battle
In the thrilling world of Tales of Graces f Remastered, I’ve noticed that increasing Chain Capacity +2 doesn’t necessarily boost the number of combos I can execute with my party members. Instead, it seems to denote a count associated with the hero’s multiple gauges. Each action they perform gradually depletes this number until it reaches zero.
When their Capacity reaches zero in Tales of Graces f Remastered, a hero will find themselves defenseless and unable to execute attacks as efficiently. This is similar to the cooldown system in early Mana games, which means that having more Capacity allows players to take more actions without needing to pause or rest.
5. Double Damage
A Double-Edged Sword
In this game, Double Damage is an uncommon Grade that amplifies the harm dealt by heroes, but simultaneously strengthens enemies as well. A variant of it can be purchased, enhancing the damage by 5 times, similar to the EXP Grade.
For novice players, it’s advisable to start with Double Damage mode due to its simplicity. If it becomes too challenging, they can easily switch it off. The fundamental aspect in an action RPG is for players to familiarize themselves with the combat system before being overwhelmed by other features.
4. Double Gald
Ensure You’ll Always Get The Best Equipment
In this RPG, you’ll be using Doubled Gold (also known as Double Gald), which is the currency of the game. You can use Double Gald to purchase equipment and items. At times, acquiring the right amount of gold in an RPG can take just as long as leveling up through EXP grinding. Having Double Gald on hand will help reduce the need for excessive gold gathering.
In Tales of Graces f Remastered, players could opt to enhance a Rank referred to as “Half Shop Prices,” which will lower prices significantly. By incorporating these two Ranks together, gamers can acquire premium items while avoiding unnecessary Gald expenditures for the next tier.
3. Double Item Drops
Keep Your Item Costs Down
boosting the number of loot drops you receive from foes, dubbed Double Loot Drops, can be quite beneficial when it comes to managing Gald. Normally, enemies will only dispense materials for concocting recipes or healing goods such as Apple Gels. It might not sound thrilling at first glance, but this feature provides a useful advantage since players won’t have to spend their time and resources on acquiring common items like healing supplies.
Players should additionally be granted the ability to Expand their Inventory, which increases the maximum number of a single item they can hold. For instance, in the game Tales of Graces f Remastered, players typically can only carry ten Apple Gels; however, with the expanded inventory, they could potentially double or even triple that capacity.
2. Triple SP
Expand Your Abilities
In Tales of Graces f Remastered, you can advance in two primary methods. One is the conventional approach, where your character’s level progresses, such as moving from level 1 to level 2 and so on. This method enhances attributes like health points (HP) and attack power.
In summary, there’s a feature called SP that enables you to gain titles within the game. These titles are organized in a grid-like structure, somewhat reminiscent of the License Board from Final Fantasy 12, but on a more compact scale. Accumulating triple SP serves as a rank, expediting the process of unlocking titles and granting heroes new stat enhancements or skills.
1. Upgrade Eleth Mixer
Make Items Like A Pro
In various role-playing games, you’ll find the Eleth Mixer, which resembles alchemy equipment and includes a cooking system. By inserting ingredients into it, players have the chance to receive something in return or have items directly applied to their characters. Enhancing the Eleth Mixer will either improve the quality of the items produced or at least boost the chances of getting better loot.
Boosting the Eleth to +500 is an excellent enhancement since it increases its holding capacity, allowing players to put more items into the Eleth Mixer simultaneously. In the initial stages of Tales of Graces f Remastered, it may be challenging for players to differentiate between the Eleth Mixer and the Dualize shopkeeper due to their similar setups. However, with time, the differences should become clearer.
