In the game Radiata Stories, once party members have been added, they don’t acquire any new spells or abilities; instead, the team tends to switch out more often as compared to other games when a new character is introduced. This unique mechanic, in my opinion, warrants a reconsideration.

It’s beneficial that they do, as characters in war-themed stories like Valkyria Chronicles often meet their demise. War, even in the fantasy realm, is gruesome. The game doesn’t delve too deeply into its characters, but it effectively portrays each squad member as a unique individual, not just a number or statistic.

Certainly makes sacrifice tactics more somber.
