The AEK-971 is back in Battlefield 6, now called the Kord 6P67. This assault rifle fires very quickly with minimal recoil and deals significant damage. Veterans of previous Battlefield games will be familiar with how it handles, but new players who enjoy close-range combat will find it especially effective and enjoyable.
The Kord is a powerful, rapid-firing gun, but it’s surprisingly easy to handle and accurate. This particular setup for *Battlefield 6* maximizes the Kord’s strengths, helping players perform well in both close-quarters and long-distance combat.
How to Use The Kord in Battlefield 6
Damage | 20 |
Rate of Fire | 900 |
Magazine | 30 |
Hipfire | 46 |
Precision | 41 |

Headshot Multiplier | 1.34x |
The Kord assault rifle is quickly becoming known as the best weapon of its kind in the game. It performs very similarly to the M4A1 from *BF6* – they fire at the same rate. However, the Kord deals more damage, meaning you can eliminate an enemy with just five shots to the body or four headshots. Both weapons are still accurate and effective at around 100 meters, able to take down a target with six body shots at that distance.
The Kord has very little vertical recoil, making it easy to stay on target when firing automatically. However, it does pull to the left as you shoot, so you’ll need to compensate for that when aiming, especially at longer ranges.
The Kord stands out as one of the few weapons in the game with a burst fire function. It quickly fires two shots in a row, which is especially effective when shooting from a distance.
Best Kord Build in Battlefield 6

Magazine | 30-round Fast Mag |
Ammo | Basic |
Ergonomics | None |

The Kord tends to pull left when firing rapidly, so we’re choosing a Linear Comp muzzle device. It reduces horizontal recoil, though it increases vertical recoil a bit. Because the Kord already has manageable vertical recoil, and we’re also using a foregrip, this trade-off isn’t a major concern.
Even the simplest foregrips really help steady the Kord. So, when choosing one, we suggest thinking about how close you like to fight, or what map you’re playing on, rather than focusing on how much recoil it reduces.
- Alloy Vertical and Ribbed Stubby Grips have no drawbacks, making them good for close-medium-ranged engagements.
- Classic Vertical and Low-Profile Stubby Grips greatly decrease your recoil, making them good if you want to use magnified optics.
- Bipod and Grip Pods are also good when you’re using magnified optics.
What other gear you choose is really up to you. If you’re using a scope that zooms in, a reflex sight can be helpful for quick, close-up fights. Also, pay attention to how fast you aim down sights (ADS speed) – that’s usually what decides who wins in close-range battles.
