Best Molds to Get Early in Grime 2

In Grime 2, Molds are special abilities you get from defeated enemies. You absorb them to copy the enemy’s attacks and powers. Using these powers costs Paint, but can deal massive damage and leave enemies vulnerable. Figuring out which Molds to get early on is key to maximizing your character’s strength.

Okay, so I’ve been diving into Grime 2, and I wanted to share what I’ve learned about getting the best powers early on. This guide breaks down which Molds you should unlock first, and exactly which enemies you need to hunt down to get them. It’s been a lifesaver for me, and I think it’ll help you power up quickly too!

Hardened Halfmade

You can get the Hardened Halfmade Mold by defeating the Hardened Halfmade creatures found in the Mudfalls area. These enemies are very large and challenging, but obtaining their Mold and abilities is well worth the effort.

This Mold provides 0.8 seconds of invulnerability. If you’re hit while invincible, you’ll automatically unleash a powerful lunge attack that deals significant damage, with the amount of damage increasing based on your Pliability and Strength stats.

Plunging Finger

You can unlock this mold by defeating and absorbing Plunging Fingers, enemies found in the Temple of Hands area, which is close to where the game begins. When used, the Plunging Finger Mold transforms you into a large, hand-shaped monster. This monster launches enemies into the air and deals the most damage to those hit in the center of the attack.

However, without a specific skill investment, this ability leaves you briefly vulnerable. Fortunately, it works well with builds focused on agility, as its power increases with both Pliability and Dexterity.

Faceless Charger

The Faceless Charger mold transforms you into a massive creature that charges ahead. This form reduces incoming damage and deals a lot of damage, with the amount scaling based on your Pliability and Strength stats. You can get this mold by defeating 8 Faceless Chargers in the Faceless Mountains.

This Mold is perfect for players creating a durable, tough character. It’s great for handling large groups of enemies, and while it costs 2 Paint to use, it’s an excellent choice when you find yourself surrounded.

Forged Broken

In Grime 2, the Forged Broken Mold is a great choice to pair with ranged weapons. Its strong spring attack creates distance between you and enemies, giving you a significant advantage.

You can find it by defeating the Forged Broken in Lower Kankan. Because of its synergy with the Pliability stat – it receives a double damage boost – it’s especially good for weapons that rely on Pliability, such as the Attuned Bow.
