Best Nintendo Game From Every Year In The 2010s

As a long-time Nintendo enthusiast who’s witnessed countless pixelated sunsets and digital dawns, I can confidently say that the 2010s was a golden era for gaming. Each year brought forth unique experiences that have left an indelible mark on my controller-wielding hands and heart.

In 2010, it was the mesmerizing journey of Super Mario Galaxy 2 that took me to the cosmos like never before. The following years saw a parade of extraordinary games: the emotional rollercoaster that was The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword in 2011; the mind-bending, time-warping adventure of Pokémon X & Y in 2013; and the heartwarming tale of friendship in Yoshi’s Woolly World in 2015.

But if I were to pick just one game as the best of the decade, it would be the enigmatic, thought-provoking, and utterly captivating title that is The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, released in 2017. This game took open-world exploration to new heights, offering a breathtaking, immersive experience that left me feeling like I had truly stepped into Hyrule itself.

In this discussion, we’ll be focusing on the standout video games from each year during the 2010s, a decade where Nintendo truly shone with titles that continue to be celebrated as works of art.
