As a seasoned gamer with countless hours under my belt in CoD Zombies, I can confidently say that the Pack-a-Punch machine is a game changer and its return in Black Ops 6 has only elevated my gaming experience to new heights. Whether it’s Liberty Falls, Terminus, or Citadelle des Morts, the Pack-a-Punch machine is an essential tool for surviving later rounds, especially when you’ve got a select few weapons at your disposal that turn into powerful guns capable of melting through hordes of zombies.
In the world of Call of Duty Zombies, the Pack-a-Punch machine is a well-known feature that’s back for another round in Black Ops 6. This machine operates as a power-station, enhancing weapons by upgrading them and granting exclusive abilities along with special additional fire functions.
Regardless if you’re on Liberty Falls, Terminus, or Citadelle des Morts, it’s essential to use the Pack-a-Punch machine to have a fighting chance in later rounds. Enhancing all weapons with the Pack-a-Punch transforms them into potent firearms capable of swiftly disposing of large groups of zombies.
Prior to starting your next round in Black Ops 6 Zombies, take a moment to explore which weapons are ideal for the Pack-a-Punch upgrade.
Best BO6 Pack-A-Punch weapons
ASG-89
On any Zombies map, the ASG-89 base model is exceptionally effective due to its high damage per second (DPS) and rapid firing rate. Once it’s been Pack-a-Punched, though, it transforms into something entirely different with enhancements to aim down sights (ADS) bullet spread and magazine capacity. Its fire rate also increases significantly, enabling you to effortlessly decimate a horde of zombies with a single clip.
The revamped ASG-89, now called Munmu’s Defense, is equipped with additional damage resistance, making it an optimal choice for close quarters battles.
LR 7.62
In a fast-paced zombie scenario, a single-shot, manually operated sniper rifle like the LR 7.62 might seem less than optimal. However, this gun stands out as one of the top choices for the game mode, largely due to its Pack-a-Punch upgrade. This enhancement turns the weapon into the Rad Lambaster, which fires explosive rounds instead of standard ammo and dishes out a substantial amount of damage.
In addition, shots from a weapon may affect nearby targets as well (splash damage). This means that you can spray bullets casually (hip fire) and potentially eliminate several opponents simultaneously.
PP-919
For zombie encounters, the standard PP-919 SMG is a top pick due to its exceptional magazine capacity and manageable recoil. Once enhanced by the Pack-a-Punch machine, it becomes the UR-N-TRBL, boasting an impressive 256 bullet capacity per clip while maintaining its quick reload speed. Essentially, this weapon offers the firepower of a light machine gun without the associated movement restrictions or lengthy reloads.
The transformation also improves the weapon’s damage which should be enough to sell you on the gun.
GS45
As a seasoned gamer who’s been through the zombie apocalypse more times than I care to count, let me tell you about my nostalgic attachment to the M1911 pistols, specifically the Mustang and Sally from Black Ops 1. Those babies were legendary! Fast forward to Black Ops 6, Treyarch has brought back that iconic weapon in a new form – the GS45.
Equip these weapons after a powerful modification, and you’ll get two quick-firing handguns that discharge grenade-like projectiles instead of standard bullets. The mobility these pistols provide allows for swift movement across the map, enabling you to agilely fire explosive rounds at zombies. This method is not only enjoyable but also highly efficient.
SVD
The base SVD offers enough to survive initial rounds, mainly due to its accuracy and damage output. After being Pack-a-Punched, it turns into the Shadow Veil Demon, a fearsome name for a formidable weapon. The upgraded version is basically a shotgun in a sniper’s body. It hits like a truck when hip-fired and can melt through almost any enemy in your path.
As a gamer, I can vouch for the exceptional performance of this weapon, particularly when it comes to long-range shooting. Even with the scope, it maintains an impressively narrow spread. If you’re a fan of single-shot weapons and enjoy taking down zombies, the Shadow Veil Demon is undeniably one of the top choices for its effectiveness.
