There’s a unique appeal to StarRupture, especially its base-building, which feels like games such as Factorio and Satisfactory. Carefully choosing where to build your base is crucial for success, and will be essential as you progress towards the difficult final stages of this survival game.
This guide will help you choose one of the four best spots to build a lasting base in Arcadia-7. Whether you’re an experienced team wanting to create a large farm or a solo player preparing to face the challenges of StarRupture, this information will help you find the essential resources you need for any build.
Best Places To Build A Base In StarRupture
Starting from the Landing Pod, we’ll explore four easily accessible locations within the mid-challenge areas. These spots provide early access to essential resources like food, water (plant ingredients), titanium, Wolfram Steel, calcium, Helium-3, quartz, and sulfur.
Hill Base By The Lake
This location on the eastern side of Arcadia-7 offers easy access to essential resources like water, food, and calcium, as well as valuable materials like helium, titanium, and sulfur, making it a good place to establish a base. Players will save time and resources building here, and the area has fewer troublesome vermin nests. You can also find deposits of Wolfram and Titanium to the northeast.
I’ve found a great spot to build my base! It’s a little far from the Monoliths, but that’s okay because it’s right next to a Geo Scanner, which will make exploring so much easier. Plus, there’s a lake nearby, giving me a steady supply of Hydro Bulbs for water, and even Prism Herbs – those are super important for making powerful items later on. And if that wasn’t enough, the Underground Caves close by are packed with Quartz and Glowcaps, which I know I’ll need as I get further into the game!
Trench Base For Turret Defense

This base is naturally sheltered by rock walls and offers access to vital resources. You can mine Titanium and Wolfran here, as well as Helium-3 located between these two deposits. Calcium and Sulfur are nearby, making it possible to connect to other bases with a Railway for easier resource transport. A Quartz deposit is also conveniently located near the Titanium mine.
Players won’t have to worry about running out of supplies thanks to a nearby lake and plentiful food sources. However, a monolith in the area poses a threat – when activated, it summons waves of dangerous Vermin that will attack and contaminate player bases. Fortunately, the area is rich in Serpent Root, a vital ingredient for crafting powerful Energy Boost Capsules that players will need in large quantities.
The Reach Base
The Reach is the central area of Arcadia-7 in StarRupture. After completing the initial zone, players will head north-east to arrive here. It’s a lively place, full of creatures like Vermin and the powerful Goliaths, so watch out! Luckily, The Reach is also rich in resources – you’ll find plenty of Sulphur, Helium-3, Calcium, and other materials needed to construct a strong base.
As a player, I think this location is amazing for building a permanent base! It’s got everything you need to really settle in. The only downside is the vermin – they’re a huge pain if you’re trying to tame the area on your own. But if you’ve got a solid group of about four friends, you can easily take control, set up defenses, and make it totally secure. Trust me, the extra resources you get here are definitely worth the effort!
Easy Access EndGame Base
There’s a good location for your Endgame Base west of The Reach, with a view of the river. You’ll have access to all resources except Sulphur, which you can mine from a deposit west of the mountain, overlooking the plateau – a great spot to build. Placing Defensive Turrets along the canyon edges will make defending against the Vermin waves much easier.
The area is rich in essential resources like Quartz, Titanium, and Calcium, and a large Helium-3 deposit ensures players will always have what they need for crafting. Its central location also makes it a safe haven from the Waves while exploring nearby caves and abandoned settlements.
