If you’re a fan of Elden Ring and looking to create the best Nightreign build, I’ve got you covered! In this guide, we’ll explore the must-have relics, top weapon choices, and additional strategies for crafting your perfect Nightreign character. Let’s get started!
In the game Elden Ring Nightreign, The Revenant stands out as one of the most captivating characters. Not only does she have a deeply moving backstory (Remembrance questline), but her unique gameplay style is also intriguing. As her name implies, she has abilities similar to a Necromancer, summoning deceased warriors to fight alongside her in battles.
Unlike typical Necromancer classes in RPGs, her summoning abilities are integrated into combat, making her unique. Among Nightfarers, Revenant is arguably the second most intricate character, trailing only the Recluse, in terms of gameplay style. Not only must you strategically summon your familiars, but as a Revenant, you also need to choose weapons that complement your stats.
With practice and developing an effective combination of skills alongside a well-chosen Relic setup, you’ll find that the Revenant becomes more formidable than any other character in Nightreign’s game world. Here’s a detailed guide on crafting the optimal Revenant build in Elden Ring Nightreign.
Overview of the Revenant in Elden Ring Nightreign
Even though it may not appear so at first glance, Revenant is a top pick for a high-quality Strength-Faith gameplay style. If you enjoy wielding weapons such as the Blasphemous Blade or Maliketh’s Black Blade, then you are already acquainted with the Strength-Faith setup. However, instead of relying solely on melee combat with Revenant, she shines best when utilized as a supportive character, delegating damage to her familiars under her command. One unique aspect of Revenant is her ability to revive the entire party with her Ultimate, regardless of the status of the purple gauge. Guardian can also perform similar revivals. Nevertheless, even the Guardian encounters difficulties when dealing with the level 3 gauge.
Beyond this, it’s worth noting that Revenant possesses an “S scaling” in “Faith,” a statistic that significantly boosts her capabilities with “Incantations.” While Revenant is capable of wielding Colossal Weapons, she shines most as a Prophet. In this role, she leverages support Incantations to bolster her party and occasionally employs projectiles to distract enemies from focusing solely on her.

How To Use the Best Revenant Build
Here are some tips that should help you use the best Revenant build efficiently:
- The Revenant is best used as a support character, so we’ve used additional Vigor in this build. Additionally, extra Vigor comes in handy for some of the Incantations, particularly the ones that inflict Madness. However, do note that Revenant isn’t a tank, and as such, you aren’t meant to charge bosses, even if you have access to a Colossal Weapon.
- With the Revenant, always remember to use your familiars. We recommend starting with Helen, since she’s nimble and can easily stack a good amount of damage on enemies. Once she’s down, we recommend using Sebastian to defeat or stall the enemy. Sebastian is also a good way to distract bosses while the Revenant charges an Incantation.
- Ideally, while playing as Revenant, you want to pick up as many seals as possible. However, if you want to mix up your playstyle, go for smaller weapons instead of the Colossal ones. Furthermore, Revenant, much like the Executor, has good Arcane scaling. As such, you always want to keep an elemental (affinity) weapon on hand.
- For weapons, the Revenant’s starting armament, the Revenant’s Cursed Claw, is possibly the best option. Not only does the weapon offer a rather fast moveset, but it also scales quite well with Arcane, which lets you inflict affinity damage on enemies quite easily. With our build, we’ve used Frost on Revenant’s starting armament. However, we recommend switching the element based on the Nightlord’s weakness.
Additional Notes
Unlike characters such as Executor, Raider, Wylder, and Duchess, The Revenant isn’t ideal for solo play. But don’t mistake that to mean she’s completely useless for solo missions. Instead, The Revenant stands out when facing Nightlords like Adel and Fulghor. However, she doesn’t work well against Gladius, Maris, or Libra.
