Now, as I wander through the irradiated ruins, I encounter mutated creatures and retro-futuristic technology that are the remnants of humanity’s past. The world may be shattered, but the survival instinct is still strong within me – it’s up to me to reclaim what’s left and maybe, just maybe, bring some semblance of order to this post-apocalyptic wasteland.
Introduced in 2015, “Fallout 4” picks up the storyline within the Commonwealth. Gamers assume the character of the Sole Survivor, a resident of a vault who awakens 200 years post-war, eager to uncover the mysteries of what transpired during their deep sleep. This game series is an excellent choice for those seeking a humorous portrayal of American culture.

As a huge fan of BioWare, I can’t recommend “Mass Effect” enough if you’re looking for an RPG that strays from the typical Medieval setting. This game, created by the same brilliant minds behind “Dragon Age,” is brimming with compelling characters and a captivating storyline. The choices you make throughout the game have significant consequences on the fate of the galaxy. Plus, the dynamic combat system and graphics for their time are truly impressive.
