In Battlefield 6, attachments let you improve your weapons. There are many submachine guns, or SMGs, to choose from. The SGX is the basic SMG, and it’s also considered one of the best.
This weapon’s upgrades and attachments can quickly eliminate enemies before they have a chance to respond. The guide below highlights the best attachments for players to use at the beginning of *Battlefield 6* and as they progress through the game.

The SGX is the first submachine gun players will get, and it’s a solid choice, so you won’t need to switch to other, later-unlocking SMGs. It starts with good stats – 25 damage per bullet and a fire rate of 830. It’s also easy to control, with a recoil pattern that’s simple to learn for both quick bursts of fire and spraying at close range.
This weapon has a few drawbacks. It’s not very effective at medium distances, and its low precision causes significant recoil when firing continuously. While its projectile speed and reload time aren’t great, you can improve those aspects by adding attachments.

Okay, so I’ve been experimenting with some attachments, and the Flashlight and 50MW Green Laser are seriously good. They make my hipfire way more accurate, which is awesome because I don’t have to constantly aim down sights to clear a room or take an objective. Honestly, the gun’s bullets aren’t super fast on their own, so I definitely recommend the 8″ Extended barrel. It really boosts the weapon’s performance at medium range – it makes a huge difference!
You can use a larger 36-round magazine, but the 30-round Fast Mag reloads much faster – around 2.2 seconds. This quicker reload can be a lifesaver in close combat, helping you stay in the fight.
While the RO-M 1.75X scope isn’t the most well-known option, it offers a clear, unobstructed view – a high sight picture – and enough magnification for precise targeting.
The 6H64 Vertical Grip and Double-Port Brake are both great options for minimizing recoil and improving weapon control. They’ll specifically help keep the gun steady by reducing both upward and sideways movement when firing.
