Astro’s Playroom is a vibrant and easy-to-play 3D platformer where you control Astro as he explores the inside of the PS5 console across four different levels, collecting items along the way. It’s a clear tribute to the PlayStation brand, made with a lot of passion, but surprisingly, many PS5 owners don’t even know it’s available! The game is so good, it actually got a sequel called Astro Bot, which was named Game of the Year in 2024.

Okay, so Helltaker is… different. At first glance, it looks like a dating sim, but trust me, it’s way more than that. It’s seriously fun, really original, and just plain creative. One person, Łukasz Piskorz, made this whole game and dropped it for free back in 2020, and it blew up! Basically, you solve these clever puzzles to get to a cute demon girl at the end of each level. It’s a surprisingly addictive little game.

Helltaker became popular quickly, thanks to its fun gameplay, appealing characters, and impressive 2D animation. Following that success, its creator, Piskorz, released another free game called Awaria, which is also worth playing.
