As someone who’s spent countless hours battling intergalactic creatures, I can confidently say that the summons in Beyond Galaxyland are nothing short of extraordinary. Among them, three truly stand out for their sheer power and versatility – the Juno Zolom, Daddy Rex, and Master Elemental.
Among the top advantages of playing this game, the wide array of adversaries that Doug can apprehend stands out as one. This well-liked twist on the Japanese Role Playing Game (JRPG) genre lets you capture not just ordinary enemies but also many bosses and superbosses you meet during your gaming journey!
Among the numerous creatures you could capture, which ones provide the greatest advantage or expand your strategic arsenal the most?
Let’s launch off and explore the best that Beyond Galaxyland offers.
10 Baby Raptor
Early-Game Buff Carries The Team
Element | Fire |
---|---|
Location | Main Story on Erros |
Abilities | Psych (SP 6), Lunge (SP 6) |
In the game, you initially face off against young Raptors – much like Goombas in another title. Their Psych power, which boosts Strength, should not be underestimated. This ability is particularly impactful during the early stages of play, as your SP may not yet be sufficient to frequently summon spells for damage.
Despite the Guardian Ape boss boosting your entire party’s strength, the affordability of Baby Raptor’s special points (SP) makes it a more adaptable choice. In most cases, only one member of your three-person squad will be geared towards dealing physical damage.
9 Bessie
Battle-Ready Bovine
Element | Fire |
---|---|
Location | Main Story on Xalm |
Abilities | Charge (SP 19) |
Bessie is a cow adorned with jewels, and her Charge attack stands out when compared to end-game superbosses from sidequests, making her an exceptional mid-game summon for dealing damage. However, keep in mind that her heavy damage comes at a high energy cost, so make sure you have Energy Pots on hand if you plan on using her attack frequently.
“Bessie lacks any abilities until she reaches level 4, making her quite expensive in terms of experience points. Given this, it’s understandable that players might choose not to use her immediately.
8 Mama Crawler
Giant Spider Drains Enemies’ Blood
Element | Dark |
---|---|
Location | Sidequest Boss on Juno |
Abilities | Spider Bite (SP 10), Drain Fang (SP 20) |
From deep within Juno’s mines emerges the top Dark element summon in Beyond Galaxyland – none other than Mama Crawler. Her special abilities make her a formidable force. The Spider Bite inflicts substantial damage, while her Drain Fang not only attacks but also restores some of the caster’s health.
As a devoted admirer, I’d say unlike many other bosses I encounter, Mama Crawler’s assaults are singularly damaging. However, her strength lies in being a superb summon for characters emphasizing Intelligence. This is primarily because she offers a crucial healing alternative that my character often needs.
Uncertain about finding a way to Juno because of the enormous orbital dragon? Give it a try after activating the Booster. The dragon will not assault when you’re within its orbit, so be cautious as you boost and stop in the secure area.
7 Crimson Deathclaw
Defender Of The Desert
Element | Light |
---|---|
Location | Sidequest Boss on Xalm |
Abilities | Big Guard (SP 22) |
The first superboss on our list is the Crimson Deathclaw which lurks under the Desert Rose in Xalm’s oasis. Its Big Guard ability casts both Strength and Defense on your entire party.
For players, defense isn’t as overpoweringly effective as when enemies employ it, and I share your disappointment. However, the enhanced damage reduction undeniably simplifies underleveled battles. The main drawback to the Crimson Deathclaw, in a sense, is that it doesn’t contribute as much towards concluding fights compared to the other entries on this list.
6 Penguin
Earth’s Fastest Bird, Apparently
Element | Light |
---|---|
Location | Quest Reward on Arcos |
Abilities | Haste (SP 8), Haste All (SP 16) |
Finish Arcos’s initial mission, and Turbulent will reluctantly grant you a Penguin that mysteriously came from Earth as your reward. This summons marks the first instance where Beyond Galaxyland allows you to utilize Haste.
And boy, is speeding up good!
In Beyond Galaxyland‘s battles, Haste stands out as a revolutionary element, much like a swift-functioning timer in other comparable games. The quicker a character’s speed, the more effective Haste becomes!
Considering the Penguin’s cheap SP cost, I literally never unequipped it for the rest of the game.
5 Armordillo
Turn Anyone Into A Cleric
Element | Light |
---|---|
Location | Outside the Water Temple on Erros |
Abilities | Rejuvenate (SP 6), Rejuvenate All (SP 11) |
The Armordillo’s skills are straightforward yet powerful. Its ‘Rejuvenate’ ability restores half of a character’s maximum Health, making it versatile for characters to perform both offensive and healing roles when they use this summon.
Healing abilities are scarce, and Rejuvenate scales well as you level up. This makes Armordillo the most important early-game summon to Capture.
I find Rejuvenate to be more trustworthy than Boom Boom’s Tender Embrace healing capacity, as well. Even though SP doesn’t regenerate automatically, having a clear understanding of how much you have is beneficial. Overly relying on Ability Points for Tender Embrace can put you in a difficult position if you experience bad luck and miss several consecutive attacks.
4 Sentinel Knight
Smiting Your Foes
Element | Light |
---|---|
Location | Sidequest Boss on Crystalis |
Abilities | Holy Sword (SP 26) |
This superboss from Crystalis puts serious pain on your foes with its high-powered Holy Sword attack. The Sentinel Knight is a little challenging to Capture, but it’s also the only source of Light damage in the game.
Compared to certain other powerful bosses, the Sentinel Knight is relatively approachable. As a result, it’s frequently encountered by characters who specialize in summon-based damage, proving useful both during the mid-game and the end-game phases.
For both elemental diversity and raw power, don’t pass this one up!
3 Juno Zolom
Yes, You Can Capture A Superboss
Element | Fire |
---|---|
Location | Orbiting Juno |
Abilities | Inferno (SP 27) |
There’s no question about it; the toughest superboss in the game Beyond Galaxyland undoubtedly is Juno Zolom, the fearsome dragon. From the instant your spacecraft takes off from Erros, this planet-orbiting titan poses a formidable danger.
In simpler terms, when fully upgraded, Juno Zolom’s special attack, known as Inferno, delivers the highest damage among all abilities in the game. In late-game scenarios, this dragon’s attack can deal around 1,000 more points of damage than the Sentinel Knight.
Juno Zolom isn’t ranked higher on this list primarily because, once you have subdued it, there aren’t many obstacles left to test your skills. However, it does enhance your offensive capabilities. If you’ve defeated the dragon but haven’t conquered Reskins Arena or the final boss yet, chances are you don’t require additional firepower.
It’s worth mentioning that using Juno Zolom in New Game+ is downright funny yet surprisingly beneficial for overcoming the increased challenges of the second playthrough’s tougher difficulties.
2 Daddy Rex
Roaringly Good Buff Spell
Element | Fire |
---|---|
Location | Sidequest Boss on Erros |
Abilities | War Cry (SP 20) |
Similar to the Crimson Deathclaw, the Daddy Rex boasts a unique skill that grants two enhancements: Strength and Haste. Essentially, its War Cry is a fusion of Penguin and Baby Raptor’s abilities, benefiting your entire team when invoked.
Enhanced attack power and action frequency from War Cry support aggressive playstyles, significantly expediting boss battles during the mid-game. This summoned boss continues to be effective throughout the entire game.
War Cry seems slightly pricey when compared to Penguin’s Haste All (SP 16), but boosting its strength is almost like getting an item from the bargain bin at a reduced cost.
1 Master Elemental
Three Times The Value
Element | Electric, Fire, Ice |
---|---|
Location | Quest Reward on Arcos |
Abilities | Ice (SP 13), Ice All (SP 20), Fire (SP 13), Fire All (SP 20), Bolt (SP 13), Bolt All (SP 20) |
As an avid gamer, I’ve come to appreciate the sheer power and versatility of the Master Elemental in our game. Unlike any other summon, it brings together three mighty entities: the Ice Elemental, the Bolt Elemental, and the Fire Elemental. This unique combination offers a staggering tactical advantage to anyone who wields the Master Elemental, allowing for strategic adaptability that sets it apart from the rest.
Towards the end of the match, the Master Elemental’s adaptability becomes incredibly beneficial for switching between different damage types to deal critical blows exploiting an opponent’s vulnerabilities. It’s essentially crucial for crafting a “dark magic” user character such as Boom Boom or Pablo.
The only sort-of-downside to the Master Elemental is that its damage output is the same as the lesser elementals. That said, the Master Elemental remains an essential piece of the damage-dealer’s puzzle. Equip it alongside Mama Crawler, Corroflora, and the Sentinel Knight to perfect your elemental options and maximize your power.
