In Battlefield 6, the Support class is essential for both the NATO and Pax Armata teams. These players are well-rounded and capable in many situations—though they aren’t specialized in taking out vehicles. With the right equipment, they can be just as effective in combat as any other class.
Skilled Support players are crucial in matches, excelling at both eliminating enemies and protecting allies. This guide details three different equipment setups, or ‘loadouts,’ for Support roles in BF6, designed for players who prefer aggressive or defensive strategies.
Aggressive Combat Medic Support Loadout in Battlefield 6
| Weapon | Rifle, Carbine, or SMG of choice |
| Gadget 1 | Supply Pouch |
| Gadget 2 | Defibrillator |
| Grenade | Smoke Grenade |
| Field Spec | Combat Medic |
This support setup for *Battlefield 6* is all about aggressive, close-quarters combat. You’ll be keeping your teammates supplied with ammo and health, and using Smoke Grenades to provide cover. Your team will really appreciate this, particularly when playing as attackers in Breakthrough mode.
For this setup in *BF6*, rifles, carbines, and SMGs work best because the playstyle focuses on close-quarters team movement and constantly changing combat distances. The RPKM and DRS-IAR are also excellent options – they function similarly to assault rifles but are classified as Support Signature Weapons.
Defensive Fire Support Loadout in Battlefield 6
| Weapon | LMG or Sniper Rifle of choice |
| Gadget 1 | Maxguard 900 Deployable Cover |
| Gadget 2 | LWCMS Portable Mortar |
| Grenade | Smoke Grenade |
| Field Spec | Fire Support |
This setup is different from the first – it’s designed to give your team fire support from a distance, either behind them or on the sides. Instead of being at the front lines, you’ll use mortars to weaken the enemy and an LMG or sniper rifle to protect your teammates.
Find a solid camping spot and then build a fortified position using your Deployable Cover – think of it as a sniper or machine gun nest. If your team is getting ready to attack, use your mortar to keep the enemy pinned down. Remember that the Fire Support Field Spec improves weapon stability when mounted, so equip a bipod or set up your weapon against cover for better control.
If enemies are throwing a lot of grenades at you, it’s a good idea to switch from Deployable Cover to a GPDIS trophy system instead.
Grenadier Support Loadout in Battlefield 6
| Weapon | Rifle, Carbine, LMG, or SMG of choice |
| Gadget 1 | M320A1 SMK Launcher |
| Gadget 2 | SICH G1 WP Airburst Launcher |
| Grenade | Frag Grenade |
| Field Spec | Fire Support/Combat Medic |
This setup prioritizes overwhelming firepower using fire, smoke, and explosives. Similar to the Combat Medic, you’ll be fighting alongside your team. However, instead of healing and providing supplies, your main role is to force enemies out of cover with grenades. Use the smoke launcher to create cover for your team’s advance and obscure enemy vision, and the incendiary launcher to either suppress enemies or stop them from moving to new positions.
As a Support player, one of my favorite things is the GOLIATH Supply Bag. Seriously, it’s a game changer! You just throw it down and it refills all your ammo and grenades, letting you keep the pressure on. It especially shines if you like running with LMGs and playing aggressively – you never run dry!
