Battlefield 6 Season 2 continues the large-scale warfare you’ve come to expect, but with a wider variety of weapons thanks to recent updates and additions. Some guns have been adjusted – made stronger or weaker – which changes how you should equip them. While weapons that were good in the previous season are still viable in Battlefield 6 Season 2, you might need to change your attachments to maximize their effectiveness. This guide will revisit the best weapon choices in Battlefield 6 to help you build a powerful loadout in the updated game.
Battlefield 6 Season 2 Muzzle Brake Buffs
Let’s start by discussing a key update to how gun attachments work this season – specifically, changes to muzzles.
- Adjusted in-world spotting range when firing a weapon without a suppressor or flash hider, reducing it from 75 to 54 meters.
- Adjusted minimap spotting range when firing suppressed weapons, increasing it from 15 to 21 meters to better align with intended balance.

Attachments like the Double-Port Brake and Linear Comp now make it harder for enemies to pinpoint your location when you fire. Specifically, enemies won’t see a marker above your head if they’re further than 54 meters away. However, firing a weapon with a suppressor will now reveal your position on the enemy minimap if they are within 21 meters. The pictures shown give a general idea of these distances.
If you’re often in close-quarters combat, or if you plan to stay at long range (over 54 meters), a muzzle brake is a good choice instead of a suppressor. It offers similar concealment benefits while also freeing up valuable space in your loadout.
Okay, so choosing between a muzzle brake and a suppressor really comes down to how I play and what map I’m on. If I’m hitting a smaller, close-quarters map like Empire State or Siege of Cairo, and I’m trying to sneak around and flank the enemy, suppressors are still the way to go for me.
50mw Blue Laser
The 50mW Blue Laser attachment helps you aim more accurately both when shooting from the hip and while moving. Although it wasn’t directly updated in the Season 2 balance patch, recent changes to muzzle attachments make it a better option for players who prefer muzzle brakes over suppressors. This is especially true for those using foregrips, which can sometimes reduce accuracy while moving.
You’ll see this attachment used often in the setups below. However, if you prefer to stay hidden and want the advantages of a suppressor, you can skip the 50mw Blue Laser, or choose a less expensive foregrip to use with your suppressor.
Best M433 Loadout
The M433 was already a great assault rifle, but it’s become even more powerful with the recent update before the release of Battlefield 6 Season 2. Its recoil has been greatly reduced, making it much easier to control, especially at longer distances. This improvement alone has made the M433 our top pick for the best AR in Battlefield 6, particularly when used with these attachments:
- Linear Comp (10pts)
- Classic Vertical Grip (35pts)
- 50mw Blue Laser (20pts)
- Any CQB Optic (10pts)
These four attachments will significantly improve your M433, turning it into a versatile and accurate assault rifle effective at distances up to 50 meters. It’s still best used for aggressive, close-quarters combat, though. You can keep your other attachments, or consider switching the Classic Vertical Grip for an Alloy Vertical Grip to free up points for other modifications.
Other BF6 Season 2 meta assault rfiles that work great with this attachment setup include:
- Kord 6P67
- TR-7
- VCR-2
Best SCW-10 Loadout in Battlefield 6 Season 2
The SCW-10 remains the most immediately deadly submachine gun in BF6. It continues to excel in close-range combat, and even after a recoil adjustment, it can still quickly eliminate opponents at medium range with a bit of practice. The attachment build below focuses on reducing the SCW-10’s recoil, helping it stay competitive against other strong weapons used at close to medium distances.
- Flash Hider OR Double-Port Brake (10pts)
- Ribbed Vertical Grip (20pts)
- 20Rnd Magazine (20pts)
- Mag Catch (5pts)
- Any CQB sight (10pts)
- 50mw Blue Laser (20pts)
This weapon setup is especially strong in close-quarters combat – within about 20 meters. However, the added stability from the Ribbed Vertical Grip and the Blue Laser’s improved aim make it easy to hit targets at longer ranges with the SCW-10 as well.
Other meta SMGs in BF6 S2 include:
- SGX & USG90 (for close range)
- PW5A3 & UMG40 (for medium range)
Best M277 Loadout in Battlefield 6 Season 2
In Season 2, the M277’s recoil was greatly reduced, making it the top carbine in Battlefield 6. It consistently deals good damage, matching the lethality of weapons like the TR-7, AK4D, and many Light Machine Guns at distances of 20 to 80 meters—it can eliminate players with four shots to the chest. Here’s a weapon setup designed to maximize the M277’s effectiveness at medium range while still keeping you competitive in close-quarters combat:
- Compensated Brake (20pts)
- 6H64 Vertical Grip (25pts)
- SDO 3.50x Scope (10pts)
- Canted Iron Sights (5pts)
- 25Rnd Fast Mag (25pts)
We suggest not using the extended 25-round magazine if you’re installing a Match Trigger. This will make the M277 easier to control and fire more quickly in single-shot mode. While this might put you at a slight disadvantage in close-quarters combat, the Match Trigger will significantly improve the M277’s performance at medium to long ranges, making it competitive with top DMRs like the BF6 within 80 meters.
Other popular carbine choices include:
- SG553R
- QBZ-192
- M417A2

Best L110 Loadout in Battlefield 6 Season 2
We recommend the L110 as the best Light Machine Gun in BF6. It’s incredibly versatile and performs well at any distance, even competing with the M250 at ranges over 80 meters. The L110 is easy to use and effective right away – it has manageable recoil, can hit long-distance targets without a bipod, and feels responsive for Support players. Here’s our suggested setup to get the most out of it:
- Long Suppressor (25pts)
- Folding Stubby Grip (20pts)
- Heavy Extended Barrel (10pts)
- SU-230 LPVO 1-4x Scope (20pts)
Other LMGs you might want to use are:
- DRS-IAR/RPKM: Both of these are closer to assault rifles than machine guns, and they’re great if you want to be more mobile while still being able to lay down accurate suppressive fire.
- M250: This LMG is still great for 4-tapping enemies from across the map.
Best SVK 8.6 Loadout in Battlefield 6 Season 2
The SVK 8.6 is unique among marksman rifles in Battlefield 6 because it can eliminate enemies with just two body shots. While it doesn’t necessarily kill faster than other rifles of its type, the quick two-shot kill makes it very user-friendly. It excels at long-range combat and performs well even without special attachments, though we have some recommended upgrades.
- Lightened Suppressor (30pts)
- Extended Barrel (15pts)
- PTT Grip Pod (20pts)
- Long-ranged scope of choice
The SVK has a slow fire rate, so it’s best to keep your distance from opponents. It performs best at ranges of 70 to 100 meters. Getting closer puts you at a disadvantage against other DMRs due to the SVK’s significant recoil. Using a Grip Pod or bipod will help you land more accurate follow-up shots at longer ranges.
If you don’t like the SVK, any of the other DMR options will work just as well. They all perform similarly, so the best choice really comes down to personal preference.
Best M1014 Loadout in Battlefield 6 Season 2
The M1014 is somewhat unique. While it doesn’t shoot as far with a single shot as the M87A1, and holds fewer rounds than the 18.5 KSK and DB-12, it fires more quickly than the M87A1. Surprisingly, it can actually fire a greater total number of shots overall compared to the 18.5 KSK and DB-12.
- CQB Suppressor (30pts)
- 4-Shell Tube (5pts)
- Slugs (40pts)
- Any close-range optic (10pts)
Using slug rounds with the M1014 shotgun extends its effective range while still allowing for one-hit kills, though it slightly reduces accuracy when firing from the hip. The real strength of this shotgun comes from the 4-Shell Tube attachment. This attachment lets you cancel the reload animation, effectively reloading much faster than the animation shows. You’ll actually see shells being added to the gun’s counter faster than your character appears to be loading them – sometimes two shells will be added before the character even finishes inserting one.
This setup is so effective, your main focus should be on controlling when you shoot. If you use all your shells, you can’t quickly restart the reload. Try to fire only four shots at a time, and aim to land one or two of them in each encounter.
Best Mini Scout Loadout in Battlefield 6 Season 2
In Battlefield 6 Season 2, the Mini Scout remains the top sniper rifle thanks to its rapid firing speed and unique straight-pull bolt action. Unlike other sniper rifles, it doesn’t rely on hitting a specific spot for maximum damage, but it’s much easier to use overall. It can still eliminate enemies with a single headshot, and even if you miss, you can quickly fire another bullet to finish them off.
The Mini Scout only needs one attachment to really perform well: the Extended Barrel. This will significantly increase its projectile speed, bringing it closer to the power of other sniper rifles. Because the Mini Scout doesn’t have a specific ‘sweet spot’ for accuracy, you likely won’t need a range finder. If you notice bullet drop affecting your shots, you can easily adjust your scope instead.
The Mini Scout fires so quickly that adding a laser sight is a useful upgrade. A higher hipfire stat will make it even more effective. Just remember to disable the laser when you’re holding a position and not actively engaging enemies to conserve battery.
