Summary
- Bethesda is offering fans a chance to create an NPC in The Elder Scrolls 6 for Make-A-Wish Mid-Atlantic.
- The game was announced in 2018 with no updates since, making anticipation high for any new information.
- The game’s release date remains uncertain, but Bethesda’s Microsoft ownership may allow it on PlayStation platforms.
Though details about The Elder Scrolls 6 are still scarce, Bethesda is giving enthusiasts an opportunity to potentially include their own non-player character within the forthcoming role-playing game.
In this endeavor, our company is contributing to the Make-A-Wish Mid-Atlantic project. The highest bidder’s design will be memorialized within our game as a lasting element.
The Elder Scrolls 6 Contest For Make-A-Wish Kicks Off

The announcement was shared on X, which included a connection to the silent auction where players could place their bids.
It seems reasonable to infer that the victor would have the ability to design a Non-Player Character (NPC) based on themselves, thus ensuring their presence in the annals of video game lore.
Since 2018, when its title was unveiled, Bethesda has remained quiet about the project. We understand that it’s in development, but Todd Howard, Bethesda’s CEO, cautioned us not to anticipate its release soon (this was mentioned in 2020). Despite this, seven years have passed since its announcement, and we still haven’t seen a proper gameplay trailer for it.
Is it possible that The Elder Scrolls 6 could become available this year? I truly hope so. Although Microsoft has acquired Bethesda, their strategy of making first-party games available across multiple platforms implies that PlayStation gamers may get a chance to play The Elder Scrolls 6 on either the PS6 or PS7 (depending on its release date).
Unlike The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, which was unveiled in 2010 and released the following year, The Elder Scrolls 6 appears to be more of a legend now. Bethesda took an unusually long gap of seven years before disclosing the sequel to the widely adored Skyrim, and here we are, another seven years later, still with no signs of it.
We’ll inform you as soon as we hear any news about The Elder Scrolls 6. Fingers crossed, hopefully it won’t be long!
