According to the team, the detailed video offers a glimpse into the additional content forthcoming, where you’ll delve deeper into the enigmas encircling House Va’ruun and traverse a secluded, meticulously crafted new destination in Starfield’s principal narrative expansion.

For the first time in Shattered Space, players will journey to the home planet of House Va’ruun, a mysterious and enigmatic group worshipping the Great Serpent. Delve into a meticulously crafted new location and uncover the secrets hidden within its depths. The people of House Va’ruun are on the verge of collapse, seeking guidance to chart a new course. Your arrival, perceived as divine intervention by some, places you in a unique position to rebuild House Va’ruun and ultimately decide their destiny, shaping the future of this elusive faction.
Upon reaching Va’ruun’kai, you discover the capital city in turmoil. A colossal vortex had wreaked havoc on Dazra, leaving vast portions of the city missing. The locals are frantically searching for their lost family members and trying to rebuild their lives. They don’t appear overly welcoming as you make your entrance.
During your exploration through Shattered Space, you’ll discover the origin of the vortex, learn about those who vanished into it, and ultimately determine who will guide House Va’ruun as they navigate its aftermath.

Hey fellow gamers, I’ve got some exciting news to share! On my calendar now is September 30th, the release date for Starfield: Shattered Space. This expansion is going to take our journey deeper into the universe, and it promises to offer a different perspective on House Va’ruun.

Lead Producer Joe Mueller explains that we’re being offered a chance to delve deep into every hidden corner of this locale, uncovering hints about the true identities of its inhabitants and the events that shaped them,” says Joe Mueller. “From the beginning, our aim was to create an experience reminiscent of a Bethesda Game Studios expansion. The deliberate layout of the planet mirrors the nature of this secluded society perfectly. Every action they’ve taken since their founding will be accessible on Va’ruun’kai. Essentially, the entire planet serves as a narrative about these people who have always lived in seclusion and wish to remain hidden.

On September 30th, Starfield: Shattered Space will be released for PC, available both on Steam and the Windows Store. Additionally, it will also be launched for Xbox Series S|X on that same date.
