As a die-hard fan who has grown up with Spider-Man stories, I can confidently say that the anticipation for “Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse” is as high as the Statue of Liberty herself! The journey so far has been nothing short of spectacular, and the cliffhanger at the end of “Across the Spider-Verse” left me hanging like a spider on a web in the wind.

However, hearing about potential delays for the final installment is as disheartening as finding out that Gwen Stacy isn’t actually coming back to life (again!). I’ve been through thick and thin with this franchise, from the original Tobey Maguire films to the amazing reboot by Andrew Garfield, and now Miles Morales’ incredible adventures. I can only hope that the extra time spent on “Beyond the Spider-Verse” will be worth it in the end.

On a lighter note, I guess I should be used to waiting for things when it comes to Marvel movies. After all, it took them long enough to finally give us a female Thor… and then they gave her short hair! Now, if only they could hurry up with “Beyond the Spider-Verse,” I might just have time to grow my own web of patience before its release!

Although “Across the Spider-Verse” laid important groundwork for “Beyond the Spider-Verse”, fans have been anxiously waiting for news about the release date of the third and final Spider-Verse film. However, a recent update from Brian Tyree Henry, who voices Jefferson Davis in the series, didn’t offer much hope. In an interview with Variety discussing his new movie “The Fire Inside” and featuring co-star Ryan Destiny, Henry stated that the release of the third Spider-Verse film will happen “In due time. We have to conclude it.” This statement certainly doesn’t bring good tidings for eager fans.

Destiny asked about the reasons behind the apparent delays, suggesting that Henry’s busy schedule might be one possibility. “Indeed, it’s quite weighty,” Henry replied, expanding on his previous comment. “And yes, you’re correct. However, let me clarify, it does require time, but we must hold back a bit. Do you understand what I mean? But rest assured, it’s on its way. It’s on its way. There won’t be a dry eye in the room when it’s done. I can assure you that much. Good luck. This project isn’t going to be wrapped up neatly like other projects; things just don’t work that way.” While the description suggests that the project will be exceptional in terms of its writing, this doesn’t necessarily make up for the significant time gap that seems inevitable before its release. Fans may not find much reason to be excited about the delay in the third installment’s production, given the unsatisfactory rollout of Across the Spider-Verse, which demonstrates that a delay doesn’t guarantee a flawless release.
