I’m super excited because The Legend of Heroes: Trails Beyond the Horizon is finally coming to North America! It dropped in Japan back in 2024, and we’ve been waiting ever since. Usually, games come out around the same time everywhere, but the Trails series always lags behind a bit. It’s a little more of a specialized series, so it takes longer to get localized and released over here.

The first game in this trilogy, The Legend of Heroes: Trails Through Daybreak, came out in Japan in 2021, but players in North America didn’t get to play it until 2024. Beyond the release dates, what makes these games special is their combat system, which lets you switch between fast-paced, real-time action and more strategic, turn-based battles. Fans especially love this feature, alongside the game’s compelling story.

Resident Evil Requiem (February 27, 2026)

You team up with friends to try and finish work projects, but everything is super janky and the physics are all over the place. Honestly, that’s the best part – nothing ever goes according to plan. When Devolver Digital puts out a game, you just know you’re in for something weird and wonderful.

Though many charming puzzle and adventure games have been released since then, nothing quite captures the magic of a Professor Layton story.

Many of the game’s sections feel like Sherlock Holmes mysteries, but instead of detective work, you solve math and logic puzzles to progress. Details about the next installment are scarce, but players are hoping for more of the same engaging gameplay, ideally with some improvements like a more helpful hint system, as the puzzles can be quite difficult.
