Nintendo unveiled plans to release improved versions of some Switch 1 games on the upcoming Switch 2 console. However, users will have to purchase these updates separately. Although the new system promises better performance for older games, Nintendo is also launching dedicated Switch 2 editions of specific titles, which can be obtained as individual physical copies or upgrade packs for existing users. The cost for these upgrades has not been disclosed at this time.
